build it.get it cheap. i absolutely hate buying company computers, they charge much more for . i hate them. building is better, you get what you see,no complaining.I also wouldnt spend so much money on a case...80$ tops, you dont need an amazing case for production. |

My only advice is: don't skimp on power supply or cooling. And don't forget thermal paste!
I'm building a PC for about 600 dollars, and honestly my pIII is still holding up well at 800mhz...only problem is i can't run any good non-free vsti's. |

good video card for the price if u want something for ur graphics or games. not the best, but good enough for most uses.

Do NOT buy SE cards. They are the worst value cards and you will seriously be getting a better card if you buy a plain 9600 (which is cheaper than a 9800SE).
Trust me, I have one :nervous: I should have looked at some benchmarks before blowing my money on it. |

| oh oops, i'm not sure which 9800 it is then. i personally have the 9600 pro which runs pretty nice on my new amd 64 |

Ok...find me a quad opteron 852 motherboard and 4 852 processors for less than $2000
Theres reasons for the price :D
Theres ALWAYS reasons for a price |

BTW...all the brands you picked out are second hand crappy ones for about the same price
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe <---Top of the line there :toocool:
64 4000+ - Definately worth the 200 somethin extra
Crucial Ballistix PC-4000 - Awesome
Get two SLI Cards & test the benchmarks...split screen enabling one card to get the top half, one to get bottom. Benchmarks on the card = amazing
Have some pretty lights in your computer with a top quality psu :toocool:

i got my 3500+ 90nm for $259. a 4000+ costs about 800 dollars. lets see... saving around 500 dollars for a slight speed gain? if its worth it for you go ahead. and as i stated before, my 3500+ is currently overclocked to same speed at 4000+. so i'm saving money, getting the same speed... all i gotta say is im very happy.
p.s. the parts i picked out are not second hand nor crappy |
