Nathan Fake - Dinamo [Traum Schallplatten]

New Nathan Fake tracks, currently "around" on promo, the real thing should be out in a few weeks. There's 3 tracks: Dinamo, Undoing The Laces and Coheed.
Dinamo has two quite distint parts. The first is very melodic, with a melancholic sine melody that gets backed by some strings. Quite beautiful. It keeps going very interesting until it loses the pace and starts the second port, more acidish and repetitive. It's a nice twist, makes the track somewhat unpredictable but i clearly like the first part way more.
Undoing The Laces is the club track on here. Acid house madness! It's quite repetitive but even more energetic. One of those tracks where there's an urge to get up and start dancing, even if you're listening to it in the computer, or if you just have that acid lead repeating endlessly in your mind at the toilet.
Coheed goes deeper, and features male vocals - I *guess* they're done by Nathan himself? Could be wrong though. The deep bassline is the standout element on here, but it gets complemented by some subtle synths with loads of reverb, creating a great atmosphere. It's the most "progressive" track on here, yet very far from the progressive stereotypes - it's probably the most original track of the 3. But i don't see this getting played at the clubs, it's more of an home listening pleasure.
3 diverse tracks, awesome in their own way, and here's a really consistent vinyl. I really need to pick this when it comes out. 9/10 |

| Undo the Laces is pretty tight but nothing from mr Fake has really hit me as hard as Outhouse |

Agreed, only the Fluffy Mix of Outhouse really makes an impression on me. His weirder stuff like Overdraft has always been what I like the most.
Nevertheless I've heard much good stuff about this release, and Nathan Fake on Traum is yet another step for the Border Community-posse into the techno circuit. Any samples? |

I always just thought it was a creepy track and it really grew on me. It's similar to MFA - the Difference It Makes, anything I've heard from MFA since that track seams so boring in comparrison |

i think alot of people like nathan fake - outhouse because its placement on balance 005 is awesome. it fits well, takes the cd on a new turn. a track at the right time in the right place can make it sound better than it actually is. (no i am not saying outhouse is bad, just that people who listen to balance 005 may like it more than others)

Wonderful tracks by Nathan Fake! :toocool:
Dinamo didn't really appeal to me at first, but after a couple of listens, it has started to grow on me.
Undoing the Laces and Coheed, however, I began to <3 on the first listens to them. Both of them have
wonderful basslines and overall "grooves", and thus both tracks get a big thumbs up from me. |

| I always thought outhouse sounded really quite similar to a tune from a racing game I had on the playstation - can't for the life of me remeber the name of that game tho. |

are you kidding me.. nathans tunes are always different and new. with the obvious exception of say his border community pals, his tracks sound like nothing else when they come out.

coheed is so sublime and moody gota love it
undoing the laces is just tippy acid weirdness at its finest
