That's because there's no use for it and the only thing it's actually good for is baseball which by the way sucks and continues to suck in TO.

The empire state building isnt very cultural based on that criteria then.
Its a commercial building full of offices. Fair game according to some people's rules around here. Lets auction it off! |

Most concert take palce at air canada centre now primarily (i'm assuming) due to better sound quality...skydome is too big and half empty most of the time (even when it's used)...they need to think of more use for it. |

Hey I proposed that before...but everyone said it'll be brutal cause the sound sucks...
besides there was a poll courtesy of Dezidel about - what's the best location for a TO massive...I chose skydome but most people didn't...i think the winner was downsview park |

It's likely being valued on the basis of the net present value of future cashflows, and well... seeing as there likely isn't a lot of cash slated to flow into that place in the foreseeable future, it doesn't have that great a value.
Also, the company that previously owned it (wasn't the Government... it has been sold 3x now since it was first built) was likely looking to just dump the thing at whatever price they could get in order to exit the business. |
