| Not the best DJ in the world, but a damn fine one. He's the best radio DJ EDM has had, IMO. He's one of the many personalities that have made the EDM movement grow and we all owe a lot to him. |

I'm with you all on this one. Tongy is a class act... I love those live EM's where you hear him trying to get the crowd fired up. He is superb for that.
He often plays good sets too.
He has 2 Essential Mixes that will grace my top ten. One was the Cream 6th Birthday in '98 and also his Lotherton Hall set in '99 where he kicked off with Belfast. This set, IMO, was better than the subsequent sets from Oakie and Judge Jules that night. |

| wow thanks for the responses, good to know that we share similar tastes heh. yeah to tell the truth pete tong sorta kick started my way into dance music. it was 1999 and my friend gave me an mp3 of paul oakenfold's essential mix in china. i remember my friends and i listening to it and me constantly talking like pete tong "at the rohjam, a club in the provine of shanghai...i bet you've never been there". then i found his first essential selection CD in some music store and i was hooked. heh, then i managed to stumble onto radio1's website and the rest is history...so pete tong, we salute you |
