I need some advice, im upgrading from Stanton Tackmaster II cartridges to Ortofon but im deciding between 3 Ortfon cartridges. 1.)CC-ELEKTRO(White), 2.)CC-DJS (Blue) and 3.)CC-PRO (Silver). So if anyone owns any of these 3 cartridges please leave your input. I would greatly appreciate the advice, thanks!

I've played on the DJs and the Nightclubs a fair few times, there good needles, I use the Scratch ones a the moment and there great, I've heard many good things about the Elektro, you should look up more info about them.

The blue ones do just fine :p

I remember reading that all the carts are the same, its just the needles that are different??

If that's the case, I think an electro (white) cart with a nightclub needle would look pretty bad ass!

Thats true, in the range all the carts are the same, its just the styli that is different, I think that the Elektro carts are different but not sure.

what about the Concorde PRO (Silver)? Also what is meant by the mV on these cartridges because the Concorde PRO has 5 mV?

the Trackmasters II that I have been using are Elliptical but now the cartridges I want are Spherical. So will changing from one type of cartridge to another effect or damage the record?

how's the 'DJS' compared to the 'Elektro' in sound quality for just regular spinning? Does anyone have experience with both of em'?

Trance Nutter
I have the Pro Silvers, I love them. Look awesome too.

The DJS and Elecktros are of higher spec, but yes its true that the only difference is the needle, you can interchange styli as well. Haven't had any experience with any others except my Pro Silver though

Really, you can't go wrong with any type of Concordes.
