Oakenfold? :p
I guess I agree on Dumonde... Tomorrow (99) was really nice, can't stand their newer stuff. |

Dumonde - agree
Transa - they were on a roll with their style back in the day. Then they changed it up because of the direction hook was going (which in the end was a good thing because it allowed them to go out and start their own label). With this label, they changed it up a bit and still were able to top themselves with Escape - Nothing to Fear and then surprise everyone with Catcher - Destiny Sunrise.
Now, they're gone, nowhere to be found...if they come back, can they come out on top once again??? |

Here's one for the old-timers:
Jam el Mar.
In the early to mid-90's, this guy could do no wrong. Then, he seemed to disappear. There was a glimmer of hope of a ressurection when he teamed up again with Mark Spoon for another album but Kaliedescope Skies was mostly vocal pop filler. Where was the Odyssey To Anyonna? Follow Me? Stella??? (I Pull My Gun notwithstanding, of course)
He's put together another album recently but, from what I've heard, hasn't matched anything he did a decade before. |
i would say yes on that, but i think it was a wise move to change sound. |

His works with Chris Coco are pretty damn good if you ask me. @ Night, The Shiva Chant, This Time You're Mine etc. are all wicked tunes. They just don't have the instant impact of Touch Me. |

to put ferry in perspective, i got dragged to a charity ball this weekend and they had a piece of top 40 dj there and he dropped rock your body rock inbetween sandstorm and warp brothers - phatt bass.......... ferry has gone down hill
blank and jones are also hurting im sad to say... nothing has quite been the same since dj culture... their latest productions have been lame to say the least |

| The collaboration b/w Kid Paul and Cosmic in Energy 52. They never topped Cafe Del Mar. |

| ya but honestly who could top that track........ |

| Actually Cafe del Mar is one of the crassest and least quality productions compared to the rest of the stuff on the Eye Q discography. I still like it (esp the Porte de Bagnolet Mix), but Kid Paul and Cosmic Baby have done stuff way more creative and well produced than that. |
