I'm sorry then i guess i misunderstood the entire conversation. My post was about the western world (american namely), b/c that is what i saw people talking about.
Again, i was talking about America, b/c that is what i gathered the initial post in this thread was about. sorry. |

Yes, it is nearly impossible in this culture for anyone to ascend to a position of power without either resorting to illegal means, or being born into it..
All the politicians and lawyers hire their friends and family into positions and it's a big system of you scracth my back, I scratch yours..
well I say, we all stop taking it. We all decide, as a group of adults, this, I'm not going to take it anymore. Imagine if every store in the USA simultaneously decided not to charge sales tax, and every consumer decided not to pay sales tax, UNLESS the USA stopped dropping it's bombs.
they would arrest some people, maybe a few token examples, but the majority they would never catch.
and they WOULD stop bombing, at least after they realized we were serious. |

January 1st 2012, is when the traditional(out of sync) 12 month calendar, and the real 13 month calenday(in sync with the moon) will converge. At this point, the people on the good side will make the
switch. We will be about 32 years old by then. We will have the
power, the baby boomers long dead relics.
We can change this world, make it better, stop wars and hunger and hatred and religious squabbles. But it will take the dedication of hundreds of thousands of people, starting right NOW with me telling you.
Some are leaders. I am no leader, but I will do my part. I'm going to devote a website to this, it's been taking shape in my head for a few years now.

Hmmmm...relax and smoke some weed bro...u are getting all passionate about something will never change. The world will always be a rotting sespool of hate and suffering and there is nothing that u or I can do to change it. It's easier to hate then it is to love...sadly it's more then a cliche, it's true.

well.. I do smoke a lot of weed actually, that gets the thoughts coming even faster..
they want you to think you can never change it. we can. believe me we can. if we all get together all at once, and decide, it, I'm not taking your anymore, then we will have our way..
imagine a rock concert. there are 200 security guards, and 15,000 fans. the fans want to smoke weed. since they greatly outnumber the security, they light up anyway. and they don't get caught, well, maybe one or two of them, but the mass majority of them get to smoke all they want..
life is just like that. there are billions of us out there that want a better world. and only thousands that want this one. the problem is that the thousands control the elections, the tv networks, the laws, the radios.. they make you think you can never beat them.
but we can. it just takes one day that we all decide to not take their .. |

i understand your scenario here, but it is still wrong. what you desire requires convincing the security guards and EVERYONE associated with them to throw away all their power, money, everything and go with you. otherwise it wont succeed- 'our' numbers are great but their power and control of resources, etc. equalizes this.
you also cant say that only several thousand people 'control' everything. everything we do in the western hemisphere, -EVERYTHING-, choosing food, clothes, where to live, what to buy, even posting on this forum (in many ways) just continues how WE as a society choose to live. what you speak of requires more than everyone who wants something better to say 'i wont take your .' we would have to drop everything and depend on nothing. even a drug habit supports our currrent state of affairs, unless you grow your own, without electricity or any purchased materials. see we are all interconnected but that doesnt mean change is easy. we choose things we want or need in our lives and that is why things dont change. one decision may agree with another, but there is another decision somewhere negating it...everything is in balance, some way or another. this 'world peace' and happiness bs is like saying everyone should be rich. it CANT happen because someone is always less so, and will resort to almost any means to do this, which is back to conflict, etc.
personally, you might need to lay off the ganj bro...you should go outside and appreciate all you have, because getting sentimental on TA wont make things better for everyone else on the planet. ok so maybe you dont have to lay off the ganj, thats pretty severe. :) but seriously, even the lowest peon in western civilization is still more powerful that prolly 60% of other individuals in the world - assuming that person has cash flow...late/ |

I do have to disagree with you though.
To change the world, we don't have to convince all the "security guards" to give up their power.
we only need to stop listening to them. I don't have to convince the security guards that smoking pot in the concert is OK, all I have to do is do it, and know that there is little to no chance they will catch me. all I have to do is spread the word through the crowd, and it will catch on.
speaking of drugs, no I don't grow my own, and if I did, I would need to buy the equipment from somwhere, you are very much correct.
I don't think that the whole system should be thrown aside, that will never work. but I think the people should have a say. right now they don't.
there are 2 political parties that you have a choice of voting for, or you can "throw your vote away". I'm talking about the USA here, even though I am from canada. now, both of those parties, are securely in the back pocket of the big tobbacco and pharmaceutical companies. essentially the biggest drug dealers in the world!
the corporations are in control here, the american people have no say.
this is what I propose. an organization of people, that is ABOVE governments. you belong to the organization, and you vote for what is right, and everyone gets a say. then you become your own lobby group, letting the govt of your country know that you will not stand for these injustices.
posting on TA is going to help.. I have also posted the same thing on a firespinning website. I have gotten many replies, emails, encouragement, ideas, from everyone.
once I am prepared, I am going to make my own site similar to this one, and take over the userbase of another site full of intelligent people, that is on it's way out right now.
belive me man, something will come of this.

The Mayans had an incredibly complex calendar and mathematical system. I don't know much about it (there's plenty of books out there about it I'm sure), but I do know that it is very impressive for such an "ancient" culture. What I also remember is that their calendar abuptly ends on a certain date, in 2011 or 2012. I suppose it is the January 1st, 2012 that RavingLunatic mentions.
Is this just a limit of the mathematical system? Or a doomsday date? Mayan writings suggest the latter.
Personally, I keep try to stay skeptical and rational, while at the same time reading as much "crackpot" material as I can. At the very least, guys, don't take everything the media says for granted. Formulate your own conclusions and opinions on everything. |

the mayans were a brilliant people.
as for January 2012, who knows what's gonna happen? I certainly don't, but I'm doing all the learning I can in the meantime. |

Welp, guess I'm part of the crackpot bunch too! hahaha ...Anyhow, there is suppose to be some short of in year 2003, spring or summer. Some planet called Nibiru is going to make a pass near Earth's orbit.
Then, as Mayan calender predicts, in 2012 of December 21st (taken from shroomery.com), is the cycle of the Fire Serpents. Earth will experience catalysmic events worldwide.
It's interesting the Mayan speaks of the 9 dark lords and Hitler was supposedly the last one. But I wonder about STalin and Mao. These two were much worse.
By the time 2003 passes by, I'll mostly be laughing cuz nothing happened.

yeah well...i'm another one of your friggin crackpots..hehh...read tons of this kind of stuff...from what i see i think there's basically two "schools of thought" so to speak on this issue...the first believes that the passage of the 12th planet (aka "nibiru" as zecharia sitchin says) around 2003 will CAUSE the "shift"..read all about that at www.zetatalk.com
the other one believes that 2012 will be doomsday, but for sum reason they haven't been able to say why exactly, all i can tell so far from reading their stuff is that it's gonna be doomsday
but always be sceptical of everything u read or hear ;)
