Hi all, you might not know me, but I have something to say.
I'm sick and tired of people walking all over me, of my government deciding how I live, and how I am seen by the rest of the world.
I want to put an end to racism, sexism, poverty, and all of societies ills.
I want to take the power back from the ones who are abusing it.
lofty goals you may say, but it CAN be done. This is the time RIGHT NOW, while your reading this.
Here are some quotes from some a friend of mine:
quote: | Does it seem to you like there's a lot going on in the
world right now? That feeling has been building here and strange
things are popping up in many peoples lives? Have you noticed
anything like that? |
I bet you have.
quote: | I'm starting to see a massive imbalance in the distribution
of wealth over the planet lately so in the end the important thing
is, I believe that I (and most of the oppressive western world) have
way too much , and things are only useful when they're being used
anyway. So the stagnation of accumulation on bring on the rest
of life!

this is only one person I talked to today about this. I've been having these discussions ever since the millenium, when I thought the world was going to end, but it didn't. ever since then, I have felt SOMETHING building. and this is it.
This earth has existed for a VERY long time, and will continue to exist for a long time. Humanity as a whole has went downhill in the last few years, and we have allowed ourselves to be placated by "the man", governments, the media, the mainstream, the establishment, whatever you want to call it.
We have allowed them to tell us what to eat, what to wear, what to do, what to buy, how to live, even what our religions are.
But, the balance of power is swinging back to the people now. All nations, all cultures, all religions, realize that it's all one in the same. There is no god, no buddha, no allah. It's all the same thing. Nature and technology, theology and science, they are all part of the same thing.
Everything I hear through "them", says we are all different. But when I talk to individuals, we all get it, and feel the same way.
The time has come for us to take this back. To make these changes. To take actions and send out the message of universal peace throughout the globe. To send a clear message to them that we will no longer take their shoved down our throats, and we will exist above them.
Right now is a time of transition, and you must be on the side of the good, or you will regret it very soon. We must prepare for the battle ahead friend. Let everyone know, do not be complacent, or lazy, or take the easy way out. Stand up for what you belive.
January 1st 2012, is when the traditional(out of sync) 12 month calendar, and the real 13 month calenday(in sync with the moon) will converge. At this point, the people on the good side will make the
switch. We will be about 32 years old by then. We will have the
power, the baby boomers long dead relics.
We can change this world, make it better, stop wars and hunger and hatred and religious squabbles. But it will take the dedication of hundreds of thousands of people, starting right NOW with me telling you.
Some are leaders. I am no leader, but I will do my part. I'm going to devote a website to this, it's been taking shape in my head for a few years now.
Which side are you on?
I have some ideas, let's hear yours, how can we make this world a better place?
:D you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. :D
prove it.

Well, sah. Hehe..I must admit, you are raving. And you are a lunatic. But .. so am I.
I am not familiar w/ the 13 month cycle.. so I don't really understand the significance of it.. perhaps you can further explain?
Granted: WE might not be alive come 2012.. with the way 's going down in the mid-east.
hehe, your theories remind me of the book The Stand by Stephen King.. Good vs Evil and all that fun stuff.
Alas, I think that the Man will only tighten his grip on society from hereon in, especially w/ the looming War. Perhaps there is something we can do.. but aside from a civil war, or a complete Anarchial society, someone has to be in charge.. and then the cycle begins again. So what do we do?:conf:

"Everything has been figured out, except how to live. "
- Jean-Paul Sartre
"When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before. "

ok label me a skeptic, but i think of this more as devils advocate...you speak of how the calendar will allow people to choose what is good in life, or at least this is what i understand. the nature of peoples interaction has been said to be based on conflict over resources, so is peace possible? also you speak of good and evil as universal, but is this true? all cultures could never agree on what is good/evil. people individually are thoughtful and rational (in their own minds) but in a group can act like scared animals...can 30 years make a difference? jus wondering...late/

Nice responses guys..
and thanks for the quotes B.S.E, very sage words..
I am a raving lunatic, I did choose the name for a reason.
stay tuned people.
as for the 13 month calendar question.. the months were originally based on the moon circling the earth. the gregorian calendar is wrong, there are not 12 revolutions but 13.
there are 13 cycles of the moon in a year, 13 times the tides turn, and 13 times a woman bleeds. it is precisely every 28 days, with one day left over, for the world to come together.
go ahead do the math, watch the moon. |

So you're telling us to abandon religion and societal structures, yet base the day of your revolution on the gregorian calendar (arguably the most powerful societal structure in the west) and nature religion.
Depending on the methods used for achieving the revolution you're no better than any other fundamentalist aspiring to ascribe their set of values onto the rest of the world. The beauty of the way the system works today is that people with peaceful intentions can do with their *own* life what they want. |

Well yeah, that's the benefit of capitalism in theory, but it doesn't actually quite work that way when there is such a misbalance of power world-wide.
Don't get me wrong, I do condone capitalism. Everyone under a capitalist system is, regardless of what's going on around them, ultimately responsible for what they become. Socialism deprives individuals of this freedom, strips you of choice, which is why I could never advocate it. But then again, the capitalism of the western world is slightly different to the idealogical one portrayed in economics text books. As someone who works for a large corporation - at the wrong end of it - and as someone who has two parents who work for large corporations, I am in a fairly good position to explain exactly why this corporate mentality is unhealthy.
Firstly it lends itself perfectly to the propogation of inethical activities. It rewards those who are unafraid to trample over others to get to the top and it dehumanises us all. The human beings working for these organisations - the ones who are not in management anyway - are treated like robots. Each one faceless, each regarded as little more than a tool that can be utilised to contruct greater profits. Trust me, that's how I feel every day. And the standards are hypercritical - they have a right to exploit you and demand inexorbinent expdenditures of time and effort from you, but you do not have the same rights to reproach them in the same way. Case in point: we have security cameras at my work. They are supposedly there to record any robberies, or anything else similar that may occur, but if this is true then they are quite useless. To my best estimates, I would be quite suprised if they record 50% of all activities. How do I know this? Because I suspected that I had been robbed - there was a large amount money missing from my till that couldn't be accounted for - and when I requested that someone view the footage to ascertain what had happened I was informed that the time period in question had "been taped over". We only use 1 hour tapes you see, and when the end of the tape is reached it simply rewinds and starts recording over the old footage if there is no-one there to change it. Thus, unless someone is constantly monitoring all the survailence cameras from all the stores live in H/O then you have a 50% chance of robbing the store and not being caught.
So what's the point of all this then? Well, it seems quite convenient that they should have enough footage of my shifts left over at the end to review it in head office and assess my performance. They then feel it is perfectly okay to use this invasion of privacy as a motivational tool, giving me an assessment based on this patchwork footage once every couple of months. Thus, I honestly believe that the primary reason that those cameras are there is to monitor every employee caught in its glassy eye, to ensure that their performance is up to the standards required by the pay they give us in the first place.
But, my main reason for for bringing this up, in my argument against capitalism, is that it doesn't work the other way. Would the CEO's like every one of their actions to be judged and critiqued by the employees? No. The higher up in the capitalism food chain you are, the more above reproach you are, the less accountable you are for your actions. If there's ever a problem in the organisation, it is invariably the employees who bear the full brunt of the force. If there's money problems, the quick solution is to just sack a few employees, ensuring that the guys at the top don't have to dock any of their rapidly inflating wages. It's not a moral game. Corporatism is an ugly blotch on the face of humanity and I don't think it can last like this for ever. I don't disagree with the concept of corporations having said that, but I do disagree with the way it operates now. All these anti-capitalism riots going on across the world are only going to intensify as long as the inhuman coporate mentality is welcomed by the western world, and allowed to exist above reproach.
And, erm, I hope all that had something to do with the topic at hand. |
