hey mike foyle...

i just want to say props to you...because a lot of these up and coming producers just come on here to throw us there radio bull...or there newest tune...and you seem to be one of the few that actually participates in threads that aren't exclusively about you whoring yourself...so just wanted to say that...

the fact that they are unneccesary. Seven Cities has one of the most emotional perfect melodies in the history of trance. What is the point in putting vocals over it when it's perfect as it is. All they do is get kiddies singing them & annoying you and as you've seen already, a lot of the opinions are the same as mine in this case. You can't improve stuff with vocals most of the time, and I believe this is a prime example

fair enough i guess it comes down to preference. i like it with or without vocals, you're right though, the melodies in that track are almost as perfect as they get. love it either way :D

I think sometimes it takes a gifted person to do vocals too, I don't believe in many of the ones armin & others have done where they seem out of place a lot, but look at the history of like space bros/chakra/lustral etc, they've got a history of making perfect vocal songs.
