And thus we are all entitled to our opinions about this, and any other, movie.

So calling people who do happen to think it a good movie 'Trend-whore halfwits' is a bit uncalled for no?

I thought this movie was amazing...

When I first watched it, I was tripping out massively, and I hadn't even taken any drugs. It's very trippy, and almost scary, but it's very cool :)

Great movie. Although if you want to fully understand it, it helps to go to the website...or have a good knowledge of tangent universe theory:p

Nay, one of the worst films I have ever seen, it has that "made to be cult classic" feel... totally ing fake.

Only watch it if your a ty little emo kid, or a lightweight goth.

Only good part is "Go suck a !"

I think this prooves my point. Not to sound pretentious, but when a movie is labled a "cult classic" or "great" it adds a bit more preasure to proove be just that.

I guess what I mean is that now that it's a so called "cult classic" makes the viewer believe that it was originally filmed to be one. In my eyes, if writter / director / producers could've had that film make 50+ B.O. of any movie, then they would.. A cult hit just means people caught on a bit late.

United States Of Leeland, well I didn't like it at all... It looked great at first through the trailers, but I thought it never came together.

And Oldboy ing freaked me out and made my stomach turn and etc etc at the third act. But the first two acts are amazing.

Your right, there was a big hole in the plot. The whole film makes alot more sense if you visit the website and manage to navigate all the way through. That pissed me off a fair bit, but at the same time, having all that information in the film would've caused it to drag on...

I enjoyed it for reasons not related to the ed up plot.

It had a much more realistic portrayal of life in an 80s suburb, as opposed to other films taking place in the same era. It had a real balls approach to overall characters. The violent coke-head bully and his croonies, Donnie and his friends getting plastered in a field, Patrick Swayze's parody of the Tony Robbins types. That entire sequence that introduced Donnie's school blew my mind.

It was a well made film IMHO, but I can understand why some don't like it. It was different that's for sure.
