| not to take any side of the argument persay... yes people should be able to make their own decisions... but at the same time people should be able to speak their minds and give their opinions.. that is what forums are for... drives me nuts when fights like this arise because of people sharing opinions... the philly trance scene really is pretty lame... and i think the best djs in the area don't really play out for that reason.... i personally know some damn good ones who just spin for themselves. i end up having a better time at house parties etc than going out to the clubs as a result. |

Maybe you don't think they are good DJs. But there is no need to be rude about it. Its not an issue of being able to criticize without people getting defensive. Its an issue of tact. Something you obviously lack. |

I guess if you get off to that, maybe you should find a better hobby. Since you seem to be fond of movies ever think of doing something besides watching them? Maybe atempt to write something I dunno. |

This thread is terrible...
I dont post as much as I used to, but I think i should give my 2 cents here...
I moved to Philly from NY a few months ago, and you're right, there pretty much is NO trance scene. Philly is more house scene, which is fine, but trance just doesnt seem to getb the attention it deserves here.
About tommyboy and mac...I happened to meet tommyboy a little time ago, and im not trying to take sides with anyone on this subject, but I like what he is trying to do with the trance scene in Philly--such as the new monthly "VISION". I have not heard him spin many times, but I like what he is tryin to do, thats all.
Every trance fan in Philly should appreciate what these guys are doing, instead of just degrading them. |
