why do you think 30 is too old though? one of my mates is 32 and es just bought my old cd decks, hes getting on fine & he enjoys it. and surely enjoying it should be the most important thing!!! |

i think that if you really know your music, you could DJ at any age. Djing is not like learning how to play the piano, guitar or any musical instrument that would require many years of practice and its better to start at an early age. Like i said, a person who knows his tracks can learn how to use decks in a short period of time if hes made for it..
Maybe the question should be is it to late to start DJing at 13, since by the time your legal to go into a club the world might not even exist anymore :tongue2 |

thats true outside of the us and canada, some of europe, and ALL of the third world. no one cares about age, ur wearing nice clothes and can see over the bar, ur in. this is from experience in panama, ecuador, peru, india, argentina, columbia, amsterdam, etc. |

I think being too young is more of a factor actually.
If a person is of clubbing age, they can learn to dj, and play in a club within weeks. The getting gigs, and having fun will keep them at it.
Many djs who start around 15/16 seem to grow bored of it by the time they hit clubbing age.
Of course I realise there are some that never get bored of it, but theres alot more that do... |

| age has nothing to do with it. what djing is all about is track selections and your ability to do it well. if you don't have that you'll never be great...but you can be great at any age as far as i'm concerned... |

what if they are already clubbing at 15/16.
im 17 and ive had to opportunity to go clubbing weekly since i was 14, due to the places ive lived.and i spin, what will happen to me!?!?!?!?!?! |
