We're very happy to be able to bring Armin's show to the world, free of charge, in a high-quality format. He's very interested to see how the "new medium" will work out, so tell all your friends about where they can catch "The Newest Tunes" on Thursday afternoon.
For those who are unable to listen in live and chat with Armin during the show, we will make high-quality downloads available 24-48 hours after the online broadcast. |
someone get Paul D Engineer to rebroadcast it on 100.7 FM .. that would be sweet.. ASOT on TO FM radio :D

There'd obviously be some legality issues involved there, though perhaps they could be overcome.
I do know that Armin was planning to do syndication though www.theradiodepartment.com before ID&T/SlamFM threw a wrench into the cogs, I think this is the avenue Club246/100.7 FM were exploring, though I could be wrong. |

i e-mailed 100.7 about it as soon as ID&T pulled it and they said they were working on trying to get the show to come over to the network. I think if we all write letters of support the process might be sped up. Paul is actually the new program director at the station now.
Here is the contact info at 100.7:

From what I've heard, Armin is looking purely at online radio at the moment, as this has the capacity to reach the whole world. ETN.fm and DI.fm were his choices for now.
However, I wholeheartedly agree that it would be extremely cool to have ASOT broadcasted on the FM airwaves right here in Toronto, so I hope that Club246/100.7 FM are successful in their bid. |

That would be so awesome.
A shame about the 2pm timeslot though :( I'm not home until 5 on Thursdays :( Guess I'll have to wait for the downloads. |

actually it's a simulcast with ETN and DI, Armin has picked both because we both reach vastly different audiences...
I think DI has hi-quality but the trick is DI is pay and ETN is free ;)

I just received the official word. Armin has chosen ETN.fm as the new home for A State of Trance for the foreseeable future. DI.fm will be simulcasting at lower bitrates.
The show will continue at the regular time and duration, Thursdays at 14:00 Eastern for 2 hours.
More information as it becomes available. |
