i think it can work if you both only want sex, things start to go wrong when you become attatched to them emotionally. Keeping the two things seperate can be quite hard to do.

yikes, I had a shag buddy a couple of years ago
she lives with me now, and we are quite happy.
I had a different one for a time when she took a short break from me a long while back, I'm still friends with her but I don't talk to her very much anymore.
Things do tend to get hairy when your shagging your friend but then suddenly you meet another girl who takes to liking you.
I had this kinda weird situation, I met the girl who I'm with a now a long time ago, I was her shag buddy while she was figthing with her real bf, they had a dramatic breakup and she stopped seeing me for a few months after that happened. I met another girl and we had some good times, but while we were fooling around she decided she wanted to keep me, I cared about her too but for reasons which I dont care to explain here I knew I couldnt stay with her. I met a different girl who was more interested in a real relationship, I thought I was too, so I broke up with my shagging friend to go out with this other girl for a while. Then the first girl entered the picture again, we were gonna go see PvD, but he got sick and cancelled the party so we had this whole night to ourselves, which we spent doing a very bad thing. I decided to get out of the relationship that I just started before it got too deep, then got together with the girl who I took to the party, which was the person I wanted the entire time, so I guess it all worked out, except for that one girl who got her hopes up after I dumped my 2nd buddy for her, only to dump her shortly after so that I could get back with my 1st shagging friend, I probably made her really sad, which is kinda a ty thing to do, but it had to happen.
so yeah, there were 3 girls all mixed up for a short time, luckily i didnt start boning the third one, that would have messed up stuff alot more.
