Trance songs that Aren't

Sometimes I hear a song and think "man this would make a really cool trance remake".

Manfered Mann's Blinded by the Light I have always felt would make an amazing track if done right.

Just wish I had the skillz to do stuff like that.

Anyone else have these weird ideas?

Yes i do all the time... I spend all day looking for a good 80's track to redo like Ordinary World or Pride but so far i can't put anything good together.

I used to listen to A Flock Of Seagulls all the time when I was about 6-9, I'm only 15 now, 16 on the 28th, and some of their stuff could make a cool trance tune.

I dont really remember the name of the song but is was made by sinead o'conner... and also some songs of depeche mode.

i think a lot of classical tunes can make beautiful trance tracks eg ferry corsten's remake of barber's adagio for strings. one classical piece i always told my friends would make a truely awesome trance tune is called nimrod. dagnamit i forgot who composed it now...the piece just makes you cry

Correct me if I'm wrong...but has anyone remixed that Enya track "only time"?

When I heard it I thought someone would do the remixing duty, but to my knowledge nobody has.

I think Rank 1 could do nicely there.

i have made progressive remakes of prodigy-claustrophobic sting and prodigy-intro (vocals saying back undergound..) i have several prodigy tracks always under construction. i just need to contact liam howlett and co. for the copyright issue.

whenever i hear a song form enigma i always think of how his tracks could be made into some great uplifting tracks. i think some already have been but i forget rite now. theres a song by somone named enya form ireland that could be remixed. at my job im usually have to listen to a lite radio station and i hear quite a few songs that can be made into something a lot better.

I used to listen to alot of mike oldfield's stuff when i was younger! dont just mean tubular bells... he released over 20 albums! Some of his tunes got sum sweet vocals... very uplifting, would be nice to hear a remake of one of his tracks hehe
