Kinda remins me of the mid 90's, when prog was trance and trance was good.
Anyone got any info on Blue amazon? |

Blue Amazon is great! It was a duo consisting Lee Softley & James Reid until 2000 when Reid left due to some huge disagreements; since then it has been Softley alone. I love their endlessly long moody epic prog housers they've done back in the mid 90s. Surely one of my favs.
Productions like No Other Love, And Then The Rain Falls are amazing and then their wicked remixes including such tracks as Bedrock - For What You Dream Of, Sasha - Magic, Jayn Hanna - Lovelight and so many others to look for.
My latest Blue Amazon purchase has been Temperamental i guess, which is ok but not as good as the older productions.

I have the Javelin album (1997):o
But i not sure that i would call Javelin's comps trance. Compare the comps on Javelin with the comps on Northern Exposure 2 West Coast Edition (1998) or Oakie's Tranceport (1997) and they doesn't sound the same. Its kind of strange. I'm not sure what anything after Javelin sounds like tho. |

| I like their mid 90's productions very much, my favourite being "The Runner". However, "And Then The Rain Falls" and "No Other Love" are certainly classics, as well as the entire "Javelin" album. Also really like their remix of Skunk Anansie - Twisted. |

| yes, blue amazon was good, i still like the recent works but the works during the javelin album was better. their #1 claim to fame was making obscenely long tracks (and not being ambient tracks), my favourites must be "and then the rainfalls" and their remixes of sasha's magic & bedrock's (classic track) for what you dream of |

| Almost everything Blue Amazon did pre 2000 is top quality. "Javelin", "No Other Love", "And Then The Rain Falls" and "Hypersleep" (amazing tune from 1993) are some of the best. Also most of their remixes from the period that I've heard are great, especially Meltdown - My Life Is In Your Hands and Hanana - Discorder. The recent productions aren't quite to the same standard. |

| The Javelin (Jackpot Records) was definatly one of my fravorite past time tracks after a days work. I think its one of my oldest cd that is released in mid 97' Too bad theres no late remixes to "Javeline" unlike "No Other Love" |

And prog house sounded very little like today's progressive- it had more soul back then. |
