Maybe we should complain like mad in a poor attempt to get it down to 18+. The 22nd is only five days before I turn eighteen, so I'd definitely try getting in.
Too bad they wouldn't listen to us. Element. |

Thats not the point, I dont even care about the alcohol, its the fact that they segregate a huge portion of the scene here by making it 21+. |
Whiney teens? I am glad the clubs here in LA are 21+. |

I totally see what you're saying, but it's the fact that there are so many of us who are 18-20 (or, almost 18) that actually know and respect the music who get ed in the ass when some of our favorite DJs come to town. |

Its about access, Seattle has traditionally been and all ages/18+ city, and it made it stand out, we have a huge and active local scene with literally an event you can goto every day if you want. |
W0rd. And recently Seattle politicians and dumb s have been trying to get a work around to stop split-age-venues. The NW chapter of the Recording Academy has been lobbying to stop this work around. The assistant director was actually one of our guest speakers in my class today, so I got it strait from the horse’s mouth as they say.
I asked him about Element of Seattle and he was frustrated about it too, but he says when you come right down to it you can't stop the clubs from making their own policies, sure you can bitch moan, boycott and protest but it's their decision ultimately.
Fortunately we CAN do something about the way politics work. I'm 19, I'm underage, but I do get offended about "the whiney teenagers." There's plenty of us who aren't. And I love 18+ events because it usually does cut down on the annoying 14 year old loli happy hard-core sluts and annoying little asain kids.
I feel like Nou. When I'm in my 20s, I would hate to see 18's etc excluded from seeing major acts. Completely unfair especially when you support those people who you love.
the Element... at least until I'm 21 ;). |

| You better Nou. I am very angry and offended. So much so, I am to the point where I would be happier going and seeing a Bright Eyes concert. Wouldn't you Nou? |
