Hard Trance & NRG?

So Im sure you guys have seen me wandering around the threads posting here 'n there... What I've noticed with TA is that progressive seems to be the flavor of choice- trance wise. Am I mistaken? I have been searching for comments on hard trance and nrg and its slim pickings for those types of threads. Do you guys enjoy that type of trance as well? Im kind of getting the same vibes from a couple of my DJ friends that I practice with. I'll take a break from spinning and I'll ask for feed back from them and I can tell by the tone of their voice that they werent really feeling the track. I guess maybe Im living in the past? Is hard trance & NRG not "in" any more?

Your thoughts please.

as far as hard trance goes, however, Marcel woods has been destroying me for the past six months or so, any of the defqon sets, njoy 04, mm marcel's ID&T hard trance four is rather nice.

I guess it came out sounding like that.. not exactly what I meant. I was more so referring to how certain types of music tend to come and go in phases :)

NRG has been huge in the underground for a long time now in LA. It seems like the younger generation of ravers like it the most. While us old farts go to 21+ clubs and pay big buck to see Top grade talent like Sandra Collins and Paul van Dyk. I doubt NRG is ever gonna make it out of the underground and into the clubs(in the U.S.)... in fact I would bet on it.
