Red Star was no mickey mouse team and I like them, quite a strong team after all they are the champions of
Serbia and have even won a Champions League before. You are right we do have the easiest group but when you have a team like Inter with all those superstar players they signed over the summer you'd think they should be hammering? |

It's very hard for teams like Red Star to create something in Europe. Either they get kicked out to early because they're unlucky to get the best teams in the qualifying rounds, or they lose all their best players.
This has happened a lot of times in Red Stars history, yet they continue to produce young players who always gets a chance in Europe and the National Team. Unfortunately, the team never gets to use them as long as long as they want because there are other clubs in Europe who's always interested. These clubs almost always gets their wills through, and the players always ends up in the bigger clubs. The board takes the money, invests some of it in the club, and then takes the rest themselves.
I don't think that's the situation currently, but the big players like Kovacevic, Jankovic, Zigic and Bisevac (Will be sold to Lens in January) always gets sold to other clubs. Unfortunately, they can't build on anything, and this'll probably leave us with only one place in the Champions League Qualifiers forever.
The question is about money and organization, Sure, Stojkovic has done a good job so far, But we'll never raise from the current level if we don't start working for the clubs, that's why Red Star has tried to get all the "mafia" boys out of the club. Our second biggest club together with Red Star is Partizan, their fans hasn't been to a game since last year, but eventually showed up and marked that they want a change of players and heart.
About Inter though, It's very hard to create something after a couple of games together. It takes time, and they'll probably evolve during the season. I'm sure they will, even though I knew buying Zlatan wasn't the best thing they've done. But eventually, they will fill up all holes after them, if the players has got the will to do this. I'm sure they will. |

| Red Star have quality players espcially Zigic in which you sold. But I understand how this club works, what you said is pretty much what they have to do. Other than that I think they are still strong, and if you can make the right connections and sign more international players Red Star will definatley be a threat in major European tournaments. |

The recent signings of Ailton, Castillo and Gaj has been pretty weak. I can say that Castillo and Gaj has played well all games I've seen them play, But Ailton looks totally overweight and he isn't as good as he was back in the days when he scored like 28 goals in Bundesliga.
I feel that we lack on signing good players who's perhaps promising, who wants to play in Serbia where the league obtains mostly two good teams and a couple of other teams which doesn't really have the class, or the players to make it in Europe, maybe in Serbia, but not when they play outside our country.
We simply haven't got the money to sign good players, they don't want to play in Serbia in the first place, and we're not achieving anything in Europe. Our board is corrupt, and the money almost never goes to the right things.
I've got to say this is unfortunate, there are so many good players out there and coming. I follow almost every single of the serbs out in Europe and they're doing pretty well even though they're adapting to other lifestyles and so on.
It's frustrating to never achieve something internationally, and we were on our way when we beat Roma in Belgrade last year, But now, We have to start over again.. |

Like I said...Pippo, Gila and a brand new Olivera wont cut it. Sheva is missed alot and Olivera will most likely be a great player but should've gotten a proven Serie A striker in to get those goals in. I still am truly :conf: about not going after: Suazo, Iaquinta or even Tavano
Whatever no complaints here especially since Milan have the hardest schedule Ive seen since Inter's start:

Watched this game, and im not too impressed with the way Milan playd. There were opportunities for both and Siena played beautifully, i didnt expect there defense to be so compact and strong. The Serie A is full of quality teams this year, a real test for the big teams. I think Inter may struggle with Siena too, Locatelli was causing a lot of damage for us.
Milan in a three game drought, this is really bad. I hope we can get it together for Champs League. I think Oliveia still has a lot to learn from what i seen and Gilardino needs to pull his socks up really high :mad: |
