I just got back from my partners place and we did a slight rework and put the finishing touches on.... we decided not to make it into a massive prog track with a powerful synth at the end cuz we didn't wanna mess with the feel, but we added in some strings, I wrote another really nice outro/peak guitar melody, and added another arp right at the peak to give it more energy. I'm really really liking the rework so that update will be up in a day or two.

Hey this is sounding really good from the start... the kick kinda loses thump as more instruments pile on.. that clap might work fine for uplifting trance, but for this ambient/housier stuff I would use a snappier shorter clap or snare... other than that it's definately not a tune to ignore ;)

Hey Everyone... the update is up.
This is the new updated version for anyone who's interested. It sounds a bit messier, and the kick is still weak, but we're going to have a friend come in to do a mixdown/master. Hopefully you guys like the changes. (Strings in the break/ending, extra guitar melody, extra arp toward the end)

i listened to the latest update:
fantastic, i love it :D
the only thing i need you guys to beef up is the bassline...it deserves more bass....try a compressor on the bassline channel (after rendering) or a bass booster or simply EQ it with small bandwidth at around 100Hz ..... |

hehe, i agree, but thats why my friend is coming in to do a mixdown/master for us. boosting the frequency previously didn't really help at all, it actually made the bass sound messier. we're gonna leave all that up to him. thx for ur comments tho...

thanks guys...hopefully in another week or two we'll have a 2nd prog track up... then after that we'll be finishing up our trance track, so watch out for those...
