Well the bird who - *ahem* - "sings" in Hi-Gate's Pitchin is Judge Jules' wife I think.
But there are some talented singers out there: Sarah McLauchlan, Jan Johnson, St. Ettienne et al continue to pop up everywhere. The trance divas I guess. :) |

Judge Jule's Wife's name is Amanda O'Riordan and she does the vocals for Angelic

| They are professional when the track name is something like DJ/Producer feat. Girl Name - Track Name...When it isn't, you can be sure that the girl who makes vocal is the friend of the DJ/Producer or even his unemployed neighbor !! :p :p :p |

yeah, Jan Johnston has a pretty amazing voice. I first heard her on ESCM (BT's 2nd album) and then on more stuff...
BT's girlfriend aslo sang on one of his songs.
but Jan has the best, most awesome voice. it just gets U all chilly... |

No-one can beat Jan Johnston but Ive heard good singing from Maria Nayler (Angry skies), Sophie Moleta (Love has come again) and maybe Donna Lewis also (Take me over).
If someone knows if these girls have sung in other trancey songs, gimme some tunes pls :). |

My favourite female vocalist is Jan Johnston. BT apparently found an old record of hers from around 1991 and really liked her voice so he contacted her and asked her to do vocals on some of his tracks and I'm sure you all know where she went from there.
Other favourite female vocal tracks are:
Space Brothers "Shine"
Space Brothers "Forgiven"
Ascension "Someone" - All with Joanna Law on vocals though I don't know if there's any connection between Joanna Law and the producers.
Dannii "All I Wanna Do" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix) - Dannii Minogue is an Australian pop singer but apparently Ian Masterson (the guy behind Trouser Enthusiasts/Mekka/Monoboy etc.) is a friend of her so he agreed to remix several of her tracks and it all worked very well! |
