It won't be, funniest part is it isn't a vote just suggestions (i.e. it doesn't matter a ). Thats why you have to give a reason.

:haha:

yeah, but as anybody from any country would say, you want things like this named after your heroes, and I Just hope they have the decency to do it cos it'd be a kick in the teeth for our nationality if they did. It'd be like us naming a stand in hampden park 'the ron atkinson stand', that much of an insult :p
UWM
At Stanford University in the states they had a student vote to rename the mascot from the 'derogatory' native american representation they once used. The result of the student vote was the Stanford Trees. The university decided this was not in their best interest and named them the 'Cardinal' but still use a guy in a pine tree suit as their mascot :D

Just hope they don't go all PC on it and actually name it after Baxter, even from a Scot.

Can see it now:
"it did have have most most votes and he's just as much part of this...we have to be inclusive of peoples views afterall...."

and so on

Funny for about a week, then you'd realise how ed up and full of bull- our country (UK) is.

aye, I fear for that. I just feel that stuff about Scottish players should have a place in scotland, welsh in wales etc, it'd mean more to the fans of jim baxter if they could actually not have to travel 300 miles to see it

That looks like either a Blue Lobster or a Crayfish....Billabong might know.

Ahh, this isn't a popular vote, you are just supposed to suggest names, but it doesn't mean they will use the name with the most votes.

From the look of the artists impression this is not actually part of the stadium but a footbridge at Wembley Stadium Station, a minor commuter station in Wembley with limited services and limited connections to London. The line the station is on is at capacity and is therefore not even used for match day services, and usage of the service on match days is specifically discouraged. All passengers wil arrive at the much larger Wembley Central, just down the road. For this reason I find it most strange that they would bother upgrading the station at all.

I find the artists impression funny, as the train shown in the photo (a class 168 DMU) does not even operate a regular scheduled service at this station.

So yes, my question is, what is so great about suggesting the name of a footbridge at a tiny, unimportant station on the other side of the world that just happens to be close to a football stadium should be named after some Rugby player??

A much better suggestion to 'annoy the english' would be to name it after one of those famous Australian football stars.. oh.

They tried something like that once with the Braves and again with the Redskins as well. No friggin' way... Hell, I couldn't imagine Florida State without their Seminoles and relentless drum beating during their football games.

all, names with the most votes go forward to a shortlist, and then they are choosen by someone else, so chances are it will be called the Bobby moore bridge
