NYTA - The Community Amongst Communities
View this Thread in Original format

What a melting pot we have here in an EDM oriented community. We have groups of friends all tied together with different groups of friends, it just goes to show you how diverse this city is. We have the old school we have the new school, we have the local DJs and local producers, we have the hobbyist and we have the educated, its all here. What a great resource it is to be in such a community geared towards one central focus - MUSIC!

Now these small groups of friends all retain some integrity to this community as individuals. Some we see come out and hang, others only attend clubs, and some hang out with each other on a frequent basis. GREAT! I'd also like to focus some attention to those as individuals. The integral part to this community lies not within the effort to provide for everyone, but a key aspect is the character the person portrays. Whether invisible or transparent others may see or not, we only know the depth of eachother based on the social level we classify ourselves in. (ie: I choose to be at this friendship level with these people) That is completely fine, but I find it not only in the present, but in the past, with members of any community who exercise their role of diversity. Those who choose to lead and others who choose to follow. It's a great thing, but only when you see some come and others go. I've been here quite some time with you NYTAs and I've seen plenty come and go (as I'm sure you have also), I'd only like to express my empathy to those who remain loyal to this community.

A big cheer to those who remain real as a person and real to this community. And to those who remain fake and live ulterior lives, I say you need to find yourself and accept that this reality will be as transparent as the character you try to be. A big big ups to all the old schoolers who lurk the boards (mizz, tg(u owe me coffee), matt, dennis) And a big big big thank you to all of NYTA for the years we spent together partying it up...the most proper EDM community I will ever need to be a part of!
