i still think all of them lack that warmth and that presence that a good bassline should have. that last 404 bassline also sounded very flat and despite its low register, i dont feel the bass when i crank up my soundsystem. you've got to be able to feel it. the bass exhaust ports on your monitors should be pumping out air and causing turbulance that can be felt from a few inchs away at least! thats the kind of bass which hits the sweet spot!

no i totally agree with you on the bass thing i wish id be able to create that kind of bass sound. i have in the past but only very few times.

you got soundforge? or any application capable of generating a low frequency sine wave? well generate a 60 hz sine wave. put your speakers up fairly loud and listen to it hummmmmmmmmmm.

that is pure bass. sounds god damn beautiful and it shakes foundations with enough amplitude. thats the fundamental of any good bassline. that clean, warm, smooth, earth shaking kind of quality. as long as you keep that principle in mind and make all your bass sounds revolve around that kind of dynamic you should be fine. the hard part is getting your kick and bass to both sound huge when you have to make one literally sit in the middle of the other in a mix.

Another try at it how about thsi does this sound better. yeah ive generated 60hz sine i love the feeling of good strong bass. honestly the best bass sounds ive ever heard in my life was when i saw snoop dogg a few years back ive never heard such pure bass in my life i have no idea what kind of speakers and amps they were using but it was ing insane. so when i make bass i kinda try to go for that insane humm and kinda makes your brain feel like its rattling feeling but have yet to accomplish that. a few times ill get it so ona f ew notes itll make everything in my apt shake but other then that i cant accomplish it. but give that a listena dnt ell me if thats better

It sounds like you're not using the sequencer with the Audio Realism. Most of the uniqueness of that acid bassline sound comes from what the sequencer does.

The other two I'd have to guess that you have the release set to long and/or the polyphony is set to be higher than one. Make it monophonic and set the release to zero. That might help.

If anything, you want to CUT 63 Hz to as low as you can go. You want to give some room for the bass drum and bassline to co-exist, and if you have too much going on down there, it's gonna get really muddy.

If you have one available, a parametric EQ is much more effective for EQ'ing.

that last bassline devil is sounding alot fatter and creamier ;) starting to hit that sweet spot now. have that roll out underneath your kick drum and keep it separate from your leads and hats and you'll have this lovely crisp, layered kind of sound with the bass underneath carrying the rest of the track. keep posting samples man - soon young sensei you will be a kung fu master in the art of bass. you will be able to knock opponents down with your 303. just remember -

wax on.

wax off.

like i said before, keep your kick mono (it is best to keep low bass mono as well)
it is very likely this is screwing up your mix and muddying up the rest.(not to mention it sounds pretty annoying)
