Well, I'm sure it's one of the more badass experiences out there--particuarly if it's just training. Someone needs to do a search for "adrenal glands".

He didn't say he likes killing people, he said he likes shooting the biggest gun in the Navy. Who wouldn't like shooting a big gun?

Well, dont u think of who you are hitting with that torpedo? Its not a toy, and u know it..

You probably think about the other guy firing back at you. We're not talking about hunting wabbits.

Dude, I think his point was why using an instrument whose sole purpose is to kill other people is so cool/fun.

EDIT: and perhaps indirectly implying how little value American's (affiliated with the Govt/Military/Navy/Airforce) place on human life, as is reflected by our foriegn policy and their support for it.

Pls veer back to original posting. Services are missing their recruiting missions, like right now for consecutive months and will continue to do so unless a big f*cking wad of money is thrown at the problem. Only other alternative is a draft, and we know we ain't going there. Billion minimum in my thinking to entice them in at $25-30K for 3 years so you fool them into thinking they only enlist for 3, but you actually get an 8 year statutory obligation out of them. What say you?

wow i thought this thread was dead.

we could shoot just about whatever we want out of a torpedo tube, canteloupes, bunny rabbits...delurium. j/k:D

it's a war machine. a nuclear powered war machine used to fight wars.

you don't have to like it. just know we're out there. protecting more stuff than you could imagine. silently.
Q5echo
oh sorry. back to the subject
delurium
Protecting? You mean invading, right?

Yeah, we've got a bunch of sand-submarines blowing up hospitals in Baghdad with torpedoes.

its no secret that the army is the WORSE when it comes to taking care of their soldiers. My friend works at walter reed and its sad to hear how awfully hard it is for troops to get any medical attention.
