[review] Sasha &Zabs at Crobar 3/4/05 (pg. 2)

Then I left before Sasha got back on.
Now the music was maby a 7/10 from both sasha, and zabi. The club was bigger then i thought. Had a nice floor, and booth location. But the lighting was absolutely horrible. Overall the place was not feeling that great.
now NOT A SINGLE PERSON WAS DANCING. I was the only person jumping at one point. You guys must be blind to think it was an absolutely amazing night. The place was absolutely ing dead. I have never seen a club that bad. And to blame it on 18 year olds? hahaha u guys sure are in retarded (y). It also seemed like both Sasha & Zabi were just doing their own thing. It did not seem like they payed attention to the croud at all. For example, Zabi would build up some breaks, and the bpm, and when the kick droped, not a single person would move, at all. They gotta notice that and slow it down. I got bored and sleepy, and decided to leave at like 4:30, i just couldn't take it anymore. It felt like punishment.
If you say i saw 2 of the worlds best djs last night, I will have to laugh.
Anyway it was fun hangin with u all john, alyssa, rory, umer, daniella, and sal.
In my opinion Markus was better @ spirit. |

the lighting was actually improved last night if you believe it. they added the four light stands on the stage. also, before crobar added the vip area BEHIND the booth, the booth was actually backed up and closer to the wall. it seems like the stage keeps creeping out more and more onto the dance floor.
i had a great time. i couldn't really move because i was operating on 5 hours of sleep. still had a blast. sasha and JZ :crazy:

| I will blame the no dancing on 18+. How come when I went to see Zabi last time when he was 21+, people danced all night? I'm not saying because of 18 year olds, no one dance. But if it was 21+, it would not have been as crowded and there would've been more room to dance. |

It was too crowed for my friends and I to go to the main dance floor till about 3am.... It was still crowded but bearable.....
The music was ing WOW!!!!!!! Best set i have heard in a long ing time sasha + JZ = my ultimate tag team duo. I amazed myself when I id'ed aphex twin windowclicker that remix jz played was ing amazing.... And also a huge ing thanks to jz for playing the weekend world track last night at stokey. those huge ing 80's pads kill me..
Another spot was Luke Chable & Jono Fernadez Before You Beat My Box, which during the break down he mixed into the prodigy tune "i got the remedy".. I cant remember the name of the tune atm but it was wicken... then he mixed back in to the chable tune.. It was like a huge break down in the middle of the tune... |

that would be jono fernandez's premade edit. its before oyu beat my box and prodigy - poison mashed together :). its really sick. its on james zabiela's monkey business set from december, i highly suggest all of you leech that set, its awesome. that remix of aphex twin is also on it, that remix is sickk to.
man i was gonna goto this, i was on the comp list and everything, but i decided to stay at seho to support the tas and big mike needed to use my cdjs so i stayed and drank a few brews and chilled till the cops came by, ing pigs haha but ya... glad to see jz and sasha rip it up, hopefully im in for a treat for wmc. |

My head is ing spinning for more reasons than one... this is the longest I have partied in a looong time, or maybe ever... 10pm-6:30am at the club and then chillin out "afterparty" at john's till like 11am. Just got about 2 hrs of sleep, gonna study and eat now... best part is, the night before Sasha & Z I got a total of 3 hrs of sleep... so don't you cowards be complainin.. :haha: oh man I shouldn't laugh, it throbs too much in my head...
Anyway Sasha and Zabiela are the best tag-team duo EVER!!! They took my ass and ripped it up, from the moment Sasha got on around 1 he rocked it, then Zabiela 3-5 just blew me AWAY, I *knew* this guy was good but I really had NO IDEA. Then Sasha & Zabiela tag-teaming for like 2 hrs... WOW. The opening DJ sucked, yes... he has no idea how to warm up a crowd, he is more suited for a main act than an opening... A couple of my fave tracks were played, I'll be ed if I can remember them... lol
Anwyay great time with everyone, dinner was nice guys, we should do that every time and Lee you crack me up, I love you, you crazy ****** :p I had a BLAST, best clubbing night of my life after Danny Howells, 1/2 because of the music and 1/2 because of the friends and hilarious awesome conversations we had all night. :)
