Ok so I searched and I didnt see this...pretty surprised really!!!

Got there just in the nick of time at 11...once again thanks to John for guestlist :D

System was already pumping when we got there...The DJ in the main room, dont know who he was, but man, he had me going straight from the beginning...he was awesome! Misstress B, was my first time seeing her, man, Ive been missing out! She rocked my socks off!! my knees are killing me! At least Ive finally got the circulation back in my hands tho! Went crazy as we were leaving for Yes - Owner of a lonely heart...heh Surprised by how much I like that new remix! Also went crazy to hear Diamond Girl (not of the freestyle genre, but the Cirez D version :P)
In the front room, Matt and Eric were holdin it down really good as well. They definitely kept up well!

Was great to see all the TA's out - thanks to all those who helped with the bank machine issue, you know what im talking about :P And thanks to my ride there and back...Always appreciated. Rodrico, glad you could make it out for your birthday! Im pretty surprised you guys made it back. Glad you did tho, had a great time!

For those goin to guv, have a good time for me too :P

What can I say, I love techno :)

Arthur Oskan, blew my mind away with his live PA

Mistress Barbara, left me dancing till my legs felt like they're gonna fall off

Vagrant, where I spend most of the night, as usuall unbelievable

Nice to meet some new faces, and good to see you all(you know who you are), I feel bad for anyone that didn't make this party!

Peace

It was a decent night, fun was had by all, but I'm not going to lie and say that it was one for the history books. I'm glad that a lot of friends came out for this; I think I probably spent most of the night just shooting the and that was the most enjoyable part.

Vagrant was rockin' it in the front room with a whole swoop of TAs, so that's where I spent the better part of my night. I'm not sure who the other DJs in there were, but they weren't bad either. Arthur Oskan actually threw down a great kickoff to the night in the main room, and I wished I'd spent more time in there because Misstress Barbara was a total letdown.

According to my ears, her set was all over the map. Half of it was house music, and not the real ass-shakin' kind of house. It felt somewhere between progressive house and tribal house, lacking the progressive melodies as well as the tribal soul. I guess it's pretty much what you'd expect if you took techno and slowed it down to a house tempo. I left fairly early, so she *might* have played some funkier tracks, but not for a good long while (the housey tracks really don't count). There was this overall feeling the whole time that she was just playing way under tempo for a HARD set, it would have been OK for a funky set but not for the tracks she played. It made it impossible to get my groove on in there.

Why do I get the feeling she's trying to "bridge the gap" between house and techno, sort of like how Mauro Picotto tried (unsuccessfully) on several occasions to do it with trance and techno? Better luck next time Babs.

I won't get into specifics, but the crowd that night was also packed, drunk, a bit pushy and VERY sketchy. I'm used to seeing all those things at System individually but that may have been the first time I've seen them all at once, especially that amount of sketch. I had to find another spot or tell people to back off several times throughout the night.

In a word: mediocre. Still nowhere near as bad as the Guvernment, but seemed to be a step in that direction. Despite all the hotties in attendance that night, I found myself feeling very nostalgic for the "old" System...

What a great night this was!!!
Got there pretty early..(wanted to mkae sure I didn't have to pay and well parking across the street was $20 HOLY CRAP!) so we got there around 10:15pm

First DJ that rocked my world was...Arthur Oskan..he spun some great Techno beats. That is when I began really get into it and dance away. The only bad comment I would have to give this guy is that he needs to smile alittle more :happy2:

Vagrant---Eric and Matt....GREAT JOB GUYS!!!! I was really impressed with your performace! I was glad to finally see what I've been waiting so long to check out!! Hope to see you guys ate your next T.O. gig.

The DJ right before Misstress Barbara was Killer....he really reminded me of how much I absolutely LOVE techno more than an other music. What an amazing feeling I had.

Misstress, gorgeous as always....and well to be honest..not AS good as I thought she would be compared to the 2 times I saw her a couple of years ago...BUT still very good.

It was great to see all the TA's that came out..you guys make the parties sooo much more worth while for me! I met some really nice ppl including Lipstick>>>I absolutely love your style girl!! I was impressed to see you dance dance it up to Vagrant!

Preppie chick..you are a doll..thank you for all your kind words! It was a blast dancing it up with you. It was nice meeting you!

trancechaos..I have to admit you honestly had my attention everytime you were around b/c I could totally see you were just loving every minute of it! You send out this amazing vibe! I am glad you made it out!

;) :toothless

its always fun running into you guys, you all kept me going. Max it was really good to see you after so long.

i pretty much spent most of the time i was there in the main room with occasional trips to the front room. that front room at system doesnt quite feel comfy to me for some reason. feels too much like a passage way.

greg gow - pretty decent warm up for misstress but nothing spectacular.

misstress barbara - i really enjoyed her set alot. i was a bit dissapointed that she didnt play as hard as i hoped she would have, her set was pretty housey at times. but still a good performance and layed down some good tracks that i really enjoyed. by the time she came off i was pretty much dead.

so overall a good night.

this is the kind of music she's into now - she has even said that she is not into bang-bang-bang techno anymore.

I had this same conversation with greg gow a couple of weeks ago, and he said he just can't play an all techno set - people want things mixed up more. I agree, and I hope to see more DJs bridging genres in their sets!

I loved her set - it was different, it was acid, electro, breaks, house, tech house, banging techno at times - it was diverse and it was a WELCOME CHANGE.

I'm so, so pleased that she played the way she did last night. I loved not recognizing 99% of what she played.

According to the crowd's response, Barbara knew what she was doing last night.

Wow! it was a pretty good night!
walked in at around 1 and went straight to the main room.it was nice to see the crowd warming up to greg gow! not too long after that Misstress came on and rocked the house! it was my first time seeing her, and i thought she did a pretty good job. A funky set but not as hard as i expected! Yet I still danced hard and my feet were killing by the time Deko-ze started spinning... I was disappointed that I burnt out so quickly and wasnt able to stay for Deko-ze's set!

Overall it was good night! Nice partying with all you TA's as usual! dance2dabeat, tha broad, tatgirl, i had a great time dancing it up with you girls, you rocked the dance floor!!! :tongue3
Trancechaos always the dancing machine, great vibes!! thanx for having me over afterwards!:p Nice meeting some new faces, and partying it up with all of you!
Rodrico
