why are people so damn ignorant about edm?

| God, so many people pissed me off yesterday. 1st, at a hiphop club, they played "Blood is Pumping" for some reason... and all these people start pretending to rave and crap and act retarded. as if thats the only way to dance to any kind of electronic song. then, at this gathering i had, i started playing some trance and these guys i work with are all "ugh, when is he gonna get tired of this 'techno' crap?" so i start fast forwarding it and they are all like, "omg 50 minutes of fast forwarding and it still sounds all the same(it was a tiesto liveset)." and they go on saying things like "what a waste of a cd" "play some REAL" music. and "real" music to them was heavy metal, alternative, and rap. i listen to all those genres too, i just prefer trance, but im open to everything. but these guys are all stupid about edm, and call everything techno. it just sickens me and pisses me off. sorrie i just had to rant about it, got nowhere else to complain. |

| I see where u coming from but to me I listen to all types so changing the music to suite the party doesn't bother me as much since i listen to it constantly anyway. But as someone Else said just pity them and move on!! |
