Dont you understand what i was trying to imply? It was so boring that i had to go into the drink and listen to something less boring. Doesnt mean i liked it.

There was some parts of the set that Zabiela added some nice bass. That got my head bopping for a bit

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go away (for good, please).

I had a great time that night. Mark T definitely summed it up quite well -- Mark Oliver was spinnin' some bangin' tracks -- got me pumped. Then JZ came on and for the next couple of hours he didn't disappoint one sec. The energy was immense. But after that when he started to get into more of the breaks, it did die down quite a bit -- But the end of his set picked up yet again. Great job James -- definitely the best set i've heard from you live :)

But yeah.. the DJ booth up there -- sooo disconnected from us 'peasants' down here ;) -- next time you come you should be in the MIDDLE of the dancefloor :p

I didn't see many TA's either, but ran into LKD (damn bugger dragged me into Orange Room -- WHY?!?!? I hate it there :p), saw Samhouse and Tully (nice to see you guys back-to-back: Mistress Barbara killed it the night before). And it was great to meet more TA's. Chanoa (Burlington, whassup!?!?!!!!), Ubertrancer, and MarkT.

Until the next time...

the guv aka gino-/ asia- & sardine-/ sweat-/ sketch-/ town is such a turnoff!! :whip:

and ur right James, the booth way up there is the worst (especially for me, being nearsighted!! they should really be handing out binoculars at the entrance!! :p) ... it's similar to boa where it's somewhere pushed off to the side. no feeling, no connection to the dj! what are they thinking?! the dj's like in some type of fortification or vault!

you should really look into getting booked for the KoolHaus where the booth can be set up near the middle of the dancefloor. god, when digweed was here last march it was absolutely PERFECT!!! he was basically surrounded by the crowd and the crowd could feel him and his nrg! okay, the sound may not be as sharp as in the guv but THAT'S WHERE THE EUPHORIA WAS!! i don't understand where it's disappeared to lately over the last year anyways.

sorry for not making it out james, but the guv...i just don't want to keep setting myself up for disappointing nites; there has not been one time where i've just been able to loose myself @ the guv. i've just given up on trying. it's such a waste. no matter how great of a musician or performer you are; i could not even get into sasha the last time he was here @ the guv, and that should say something!

have a great time in Montreal on Tues!!! and say hi to malek! he'll be taking pics with his new cam! ;)

infinity HiGH
Cyrus King, shouldn't you be out jerking Tiesto off somewhere? I don't think the MD had a "I Love You Tiesto" thread in a while  :haha:

Why the hell do you bother going to Guv on a prog night if you hate it so much? Did you actually go there expecting James to drop some hand-in-the-air Trance?

And to top it all off; genre-bashing has pretty much died off around here, yet you're still stuck in your grade-school mentality and continue to bash . Then again, I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering your musical tastes haven't evolved one bit, the same should go for yourself, right? :)

One thing though... I'm not fond of DJ booths that put the DJ way up in the sky like they're some sort of God, I found it very hard to establish any connection with crowd being so far away. It felt like I was in a totally different room at some points... Next time I'll make sure I am on the stage again as I felt that was so much better.

Appreciate the support as always! Toronto rules as ever.... :)

JZ :)

Im so mad i couldnt make it out to this! i was at home watching the Formula 1 race instead :D

but just in honor of you, i threw on your EM from last year, to try and have my own party at home...it was good, but not the same, lol
