| I went to exit this friday night or earth or exit2, Whatever its called these days, and it just plainb sucked. They place looks nice and it would probably make more sense for Tiesto or any other good DJ to spin there rather than @ the World. But I couldn't get over the fact that there are no good clubs to go to in NYC. The only place that i enjoyed the music was at webster hall and they have a new resident DJ no so who knows how that is going to be. Where do u guys go to enjoy both the music and the crowd, Please let me know as I am about to give up on NYC.:sadgreen: |

| Since Twilo closed I have just been following the DJ's wherever, to any club they are booked. Beggars can't be choosers. Twilo was my home...there are no good clubs in NYC anymore just good parties when certain DJ's come to town. |

| I can't tell you how much I regret not going to see Tiesto at the world. I hated the sound sytem everytime I went to that place and I did not want to be disappointed, so I decided not to go. But from what I hear it wasn't that bad and i feel like a dick for not going. Anyways I don't get a chance to hear about DJ's coming to ny too often , do people usually post the info on this board? If so i will finally know what is going on since I started checking the forums daily. If not where is a good place to hear about events in NY or anything within 7-8 hours driving distance. |

this is so true... i've actually been doing the same thing myself. if ANYTHING good has come out of the closing of twilo, it's that i've been exposed to other places to party. it used to be just TWILO all the time for me... i've been fortunate enough to find some major kick ass parties, and to be able to hear some great local talents.
it's not where you are physically, but where the music is... |

| Basically you gotta keep your ears open and check these boards for the info...check the sticky thread at the top of the nyc forum for upcoming events in nyc. Like all the others said...it's not a particular place or nite. It's basically where ever and whenever. There's no "home" like there used to be! There is no set thing anymore...you know like how s and d were at Twilo the last Friday of every month...none of that anymore as of right now...though I'll still keeping my fingers crossed that some club will open and grab all our favs as residents once again! hehehe But, like I said all the peeps on this forum are real informative....keep checking here cause we'll all keep posting! |

Xcentric the system at World isn't terrible its just WAY TOO LOUD. Vinyl's system is HORRENDOUS! I get an excruciating migrane whenever I go there from now on I'm bringing advil. Centrofly's system isn't that great either. No system compares to the Phazon at Twilo...2nd runner up is Sound Factory. The crowd is miserable though.
Beggars can't be choosers. The european talent don't come around too often so when they do u should go see them where ever at ANY club or venue. Another option is driving 4 hours to Avalon in Boston or Buzz or Glow in DC. Avalon closes at 2 though its pathetic. |

I totally hear what your saying and I'm definetly going to try out places like centro fly and vinyl, eventhough the bouncers at the door at centro were the rudest s last time i tried going there. As for driving 4 hours to see someone spin for 2 hours, I guess its worth a drive but i might just keep my eyes peeled for raves and all night parties as far away as montreal and toronto, that way i feel the trip was less of bother. I went to creamfields in montreal this summer and it was off the hook.
Out of curiosity, what do u people think about webster hall. I never saw it mentioned in any boards, and most times i've been there i rather enjoyed the music and you can say the crowd was very interesting. |
