agreed, great film and great soundtrack. CLiff Martinez colloborates with Steven Soderbergh on many of his films including Traffic, The Limey and sex, lies and videotapes. You can hear the same sort of instrumentalism in Traffic that is used in Solaris.
As for me, I still hold the soundtrack to Lost Highway close to my #1 |

The Dairy State Soundtrack
kinda like the Garden State soundtrack, except i made it myself. after listening to the GS soundtrack repeatedly, i decided it just wasn't long enough. so i searched for the perfect arrangement of music (most of it is indie or unsigned artists) and titled it the "Dairy State" soundtrack because i live in Wisconsin, and i am a huge dork.
