There's nothing wrong with that at all but now you're talking more about a relationship aspect here...love...I'm talking more about every day life and just random niceness to other people...and while we're on the subject as Skipper pointed out here...many girls don't like that kind of behaiour and are actually turned off by the guys that would drive in the middle of the night to see the sick dog or whatever she has... |
Yes, I suppose you're right, I probably wouldn't drive all over town for just ANYONE's sick dog... but I hope you see my point... if Skipper is turned off by that behavious, then obviously she's not the girl for me, right? Does that make me a sissy?
PS - Sorry Skipper... :D I guess I'd be "too nice" for you! |

No it doesn't make you a sissy :) but then again i never said anything about nice guys being sissies it was those other guys :toothless
If anything I was always a nice guy, I still am...but I've learned that just being nice won't get you anywhere and that you have to be tough in life (through personal experiences)...basically what I'm saying is that you should be nice to those who deserve your time effor and attention and you should be tough when you need to be. ;) |

Yes, I believe we've reached consensus!
I agree with this.
Well said. |

Everytime your name was brought up
I would act all nonchalant infront of an audience
Like if you was just another shorty I put the naughty on
But uh, truth be told you do me for a loop, this Hov
I'm too old to be frontin when I'm feeling Denzel
And you acting like you ain't appealing when you are
Stunting like you ain't my only girl when you are (I was just frontin)
I'm ready to stop when you are
Jay Z keepin' it real.

| Im not saying dont stand up for yourself. But i think most people dont know how to change their behaviour appropriately. They just walk around with a huge facade instead. |

I agree with you on this.
I used to do it myself... I was never DIRECT, and I was often left wondering why I seemed to always get passed by... I think it's possible to be nice, but still be upfront and direct about what you want.
If you like a girl, and think there may be something there, TALK TO HER ABOUT IT!
You'll never know if you don't. Life's too short folks, and the only sure thing is that nobody gets out alive! :) |

Yep, I liked it. Funny, but not terribly accurate. But still funny, and a good message buried in there! |

Tis better to give than to recieve.
I don't quite agree that having the 'bad boy' image equates to being confident, atleast the bad boy image I have in mind. A lot of these guys are insecure, immature, arrogant, and let's face it, lazy. To Being an ass is o much easier, there's no work involved, just don't give a about anything or anyone. To me the summation of these words is not confidence.
The world would be a much better place to live in if people were nicer to eachother.
Skipper mentioned that she doesn't want a guy who is 'all over her' in the sense that he will go out of his way to comfort her. That's fine, she seems like an independant person, and as long as the other person realizes that, it's all cool.
I don't know if its fair to 'dislike' a person simply becuase he shows those attributes, some people like it some don't, but atleast give them a shot. |

Maybe it's just me, but I find that a lot of people are very quick to jump to conlusions about everything based on one or two encounters/events. They won't spend time to figure out why something happened the way it did. (and yes, I fall into this category every so often...OK...maybe more often than I should) |
