Basketball: High Hopes For The Raptors

Well i've been watching basketball for as long as I can remember.
I dont think I missed a single game of the bulls durring their dinasty(1990-97).
Now ever since the Bulls turned into complete I started following the Raptor religiously, lol.
Anyways the Raptors have a whole new team this season and high hopes await Toronto.
With the addition of Hakeem and the re-signing of VC, I wanted to hear some of the TA's oppinions on what chance the Raps have this season:conf: |

hmm..I dont follow basketball in the early season. there are simply too many games, so about the allstar break ill start to pay attention.
Tho from what Im hearing(not much) the raptors are suckin ass hardcore this season. |

Well, not really. Raps are going at a 500% level at the moment, and they never begin the season at a very good pace.
I predict that as the season progresses they will be one of the top teams. |

big raps fan over here :D gotta love Grunwald for keeping Canada on the map for the NBA...
i wouldn't bet on the raps going too far into playoffs this year though, just need to give them a year or two to flourish..
very early prediction: Lakers again this year, Raptors next year? here's hoping :) |

what was their proposed name in place of the Grizzlies again? Memphis Express (or was it Federal Express) or something? LOL. Hell knows what to call their players (delivery men?) :stongue: Well, Memphis should be thankful to Vancouver if not the team, at least for the name..
well, this Thursday I doubt the Raps will suffer the same embarrassment as the kings did... |
