I didn't go to a single school dance during High School - was never interested in those sorts of events. And I would certainly never pay hundreds of dollars for the whole affair. And for those of you advocating that it was your excuse to get laid, think about "who" else you could have bought for that money. And if your parents paid for it, then you're even more of a loser than I, who worked drive-through that night. :haha: |

First of all a major tip. Prom is not like Homecoming where you can be lazy and find a date a week before the dance. People take prom seriously, especially girls. So if it gets to be two weeks before prom and this chick you have your eyes on doesn't have a date, you better pray somebody else doesn't ask her, cause i'm sure she's sweating that nobody will go with her and might end up going with some dorky kid who doesn't deserve her as much as you. So I'd say at least 3 weeks before prom is a good asking time.
That being said, for creative way of asking? hmmmmm slip her a letter to meet you somewhere semi-romantic (could just be like a bench outside your school or something) and then ask her there?
not my area, I went to 3 proms and used a telephone every time. Traditional and you can cut off the convo anytime you want to. :tongue2 :tongue2 |

This is real ing good so listen up.
My boyfriend decided he didnt want to date me two weeks before prom. Yeah, I had my ing dress. Then, two days later, he gets down on bended knee in the middle of 6th period lunch in front of everyone and theyre mother, including me, and asked another girl to go with him. Then he started dating her.
Then I said, "Go to hell."
Im glad Im not in highschool anymore. |

also before you do something wacky or public like that,
one of my friends got up on a table in the middle of lunch, got everybody to be quiet, and then asked this chick, and she said no, and the whole thing blew up in his face.
the first time i asked a chick i got shot down, but it was over the phone, so i was able to ask another girl later. no girl wanted to go with the guy who got shot down in front of the whole school. |
