Remix of a Smashing Pumpkins song

| There was a remix not to long ago done of the smashing pumpkins song "1979" but I think the remix was called 1799 but im not sure. can someone clarify and also include who did, I have heard it before and remember it but I cant seem to find it(12" vinyl that is) |

Didnt particularly like this remix. Thought it couldve benefited from the original vocals and less repetition of the vocals it did use.
Nice to see a SP remix though. |

There are two recent remixes...
The New Originals - 1799:
has vocals, although what you would expect to hear in a dub. It's very electrorock I think. I think this is one of the best remixes done for a rock song in a long time.
Smashing Pumpkins - 1799 (Luke Fair remix):
dunno what the hell is going on with this remix. Maybe it's me but I see absolutely nothing from the Pumpkins song in this remix. Don't get me wrong...it's a more than decent track, just doesn't sound anything like 1979. |

Yes I thought exactly the same, hehe but we don't knw which samles Luke used for his version :) |
