well in yes and no...the other artists would sell their tunes to tiesto & his label(if they are exclusive). So he could release them when he wants... If Tiesto wouldn't buy the tune, it would mean that it would probably just get released on another label... |

I saw Tiesto at Central Park, Sep 2004, and the stuff he spin were pretty good. I am seeing Armin Van Buuren this friday at Spirit, Nyc.
From the stuff I've heard and seen there is not very big difference. I agree that Tiesto started to play more tech stuff recently, but he's still sticks with his trance. Armin Van Buuren is more progressive and uplifting trance. However, the songs which are produced by Tiesto are more close to the stuff that Armin Van Buuren spins.
Anyways, wont say that one is better than the other. I will add PvD with them as the top 3. Nevertheless, PvD is pretty quiet recently. |

I've heard Armin live on 4 seperate occasions (April 2003- April 2004)and he has ALWAYS been amazing. His sets have a bit of everything, but it's always high-energy/sick attitude/uplifting....well at least that's how I describe it. And he always caters to the fans; smiling, signing autographs (though I find those fans annoying), etc.
I've heard Tiesto live 3 times (June 2002- December 2004), and although he's always good, I've noticed that, during his last two visits, he's shifted from uplifting/epic trance to more of a techy/overplayed-commercial-songs style. The energy, I find, is lacking.
I dunno, maybe to the noobs he sounds amazing, but I find Tiesto doesn't really do it for me anymore. Hopefully that time will never come for Armin :nervous: |

IMO, Tiesto is the better DJ. Having got a lot of his music in my collection, and having gone to the huge "Tiesto In Concert" gigs in May 2003 and October 2004 (both of which took me to Holland for a few days), I think that he his better than a few of the DJs I have seen.
In consideration of the way he created the TiC gigs and layed on side acts for both gigs I think he interacts with the crowd a lot better.
If you don't know what I mean, get the DVD of "Tiesto In Concert 2004" and compare him with Armin then.
I am on that DVD. :wtf:
