Is this a thread about intros to sets, or intros to individual tracks?

I don't know if it's a track but..

In Trance Energy 2003, you may have listened to the Tomcraft set ain't?

Then, after the "Into the light" sounds something like:

"Ladies and gentleman: Welcome. I'm your DJ.
And I'm gonna take you on a tour (...)

We're gonna start here with the kick and the base. You like the base?

This is the basic foundation.

We're gonna build things up slowly..."

And then comes a totally-electro melody. <- This one!!

Anyone can tell me if it was a track or a self-made at the moment sound?

Thanks

Vapourspace - Gravitational Arch Of 10

indubitably one of the best.

I keep on thinking what Markus Schulz started out with 2 weeks ago. Pharmacy of Sound - Searching For Substance. It was stunning and Im no fan of Markus Schulz. I've got to say that Ferry Corsten - Kyoto is a nice way of starting out sets with. Another one is Ferry Corsten vs. The Thrillseekers - Sublime. But one of the best intros ever can be found on Above & Beyonds set on BBC Radio One's Essential Mix. It's named Above & Beyond - Troubles In The World - But it's originally Probspot's own tune Foreplay.

I think a great new one is...

Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Intro Mix)

I get chills when it starts off a set. Oi!

Then no one can doubt how awesome it was when Tiesto opened with his remix of Adagio at the first TiC.
