first of all, i got home at 7am. SEVEN AM!!! what time do i have to get up and get ready for work? 7AM!!!!! i'm at work now, still a little bit drunk tbh. it was a great night indeed :toothless
so, i got there a bit early (10:45), figuring that it's a weeknight so the night won't go very late.. how ing wrong was i?! the main room wasn't even open yet and astro & glyde were playing good tunes to a ty crowd (guidos and leftover st. patrick's day parade roadkill)
finally at midnight, they start letting people into the main room- the opening dj sucked IMO- he played a remix of prodigy - smack my bitch up two times.. i was like wtf?? maybe he knew what kind of cheesy crowd it was and decided to play something they knew or???]
as all of you know, i have never and do not currently work for crobar....so here's a funny anecdote... it can happen to you!
....For a good hour and a half, i was by myself in the side room and then in the main room, just staring out into the crowd with, apparently, some type of authority-look in my eyes and my arms crossed over my ribs). this dude (25ish) taps me on the foot from below (i'm standing on the stairs) and i couldn't understand what he was saying so i tell him to come around on the stairs.
he says hi and asks "you were the girl working by the door right? so, they finally let you warm up inside eh?"
me (going along with it, not looking at him or else i'll laugh): "yep, that's me..yea i was cold."
him: "so, what do you do here?"
me: (arms still crossed, looking serious at the crowd) "what do you think i do?" (seeing what his answer is)
him: "aahh, narcotics."
me: "yep."
him: "how'd you get into That?!" (dude is totally amazed by this point)
me: "well, you know, i started out as a promoter here, worked my way up and had a niche for spotting ppl with stuff on them...i'm no different from those guys" (give a nod to the bouncer, he nods back- perfect timing!!!!) "but i guess i look kind of suspicious, staring out into the crowd with my black coat on, haha"
him: "yea you do, can't fool anyone!"
me: "nope, not at all."
......at that point, i see my friend and give him a hug and wave goodbye to my new friend who certainly won't ask be asking me for e or weed. :haha: the dude was so confused at the night went on as i gulped down 4-5 drinks. narcotics officer is allowed to drink on the job?! ROFL. :stongue:
anyways, carl came on at 1 and ripped it from the start... i just love when he jumps on the mic and gets everyone riled up...his energy is so great that crobar actually had a vibe. YES, CROBAR ACTUALLY HAD A VIBE!!!! it was so ing amazing.. i met some awesome in people, just by bumping into them- something that Never happens in this in city. definitely the best time i ever had at crobar, hands ing down to the ground. :disbelief
OH! and another thing, i got into a fight with a GUY at crobar!!! in the middle of the night, i was going to the bathroom, and this dude gets up in my face, trying to grind with me and i was like WTF? so i said "get the outta my FACE" and i shoved him back so hard he flew into his friends... so what did he do? he pushed me back!!! what a pickled dick. i was gonna turn around but Buddha told me that violence was not the answer. :toocool: |

This is his second thursday night party in nyc, last time at c-fly. but during those times i wasn't working so it was ok to go to cox on a thursday night, anyways i ended up going to sleep around 5am anyways and yes i'm here at work so i basically shoulda just went to cox i dunno sigh |

certain circumstances in my life triggered me to drink, but at the fine age of 23, i finally feel mature enough to re-experience alcoholic beverages. (i still hate the taste of alcohol!! where's the zima when you need it?!) i learned that alcohol is fun when it's mixed with proper friends :D |

nice one. be a social drinker thats all.. i cant stand bitter tasting cocktails n stuff, i like sweet tasting drinks only besides beer & straight shots.. im such a bitch..heh |

i can't drink sugary stuff or else i get a baaadd stomach ache! i'm a gin-n-tonic kinda girl, so i guess i do like the sour/bitter drinks :D but somehow i just can't bring myself to drink beer! (not that i have such a desire..) |

yea lots of girls cant drink beer... im a heineken person thats all i drink.. oh and white russians.. im always asking the bartenders 'do u have milk ?' :haha: |
