Dont mess with the HBK, he'll give you a 1, 2, 3 kick to the face right on the dancefloor and give you a flying elbow off a speakerbox.

Irgo impressed the e out of me (in addition to the last post: now I have time to write)...dood first time seeing you spin (although not long enough) and was totally happy with the vibe.

Aaron: First time taking in your LIVE set. You started the night on a perfect note for me.....So very cool!

Lawler had incredible beats - it was not about the build up and all about the substance of sustaining the "up"...not "high" but up....I think this is probably my favorite set in all the times of seeing him.

The crowd was great until "I" needed to feel left squished and have more room. I loved the music but would have loved more freedom of space to enjoy it that much more....

After the show: so many talented/intellegent people involved with T.A. - thank u to those who showed their faces and conversation at my place. Those who are not on T.A. (Will (from L.A.) & Kris (from Detroit) - can't wait till you guys hop on board.

all you had to do to make some dancing room was really start bustin a move, and then the ppl around you that were too ed to dance would give you some space. and i can totally agree on all the crowd comments, it was different from the usual system crowd.. i even ran into a cat fight by the gallery washrooms. tisk tisk.

but none of these things kept me from having a good time. it was my first time seeing lawler, and i feel hes better than most dj's but not amazing. the music really had me moving tho, and the normal people around me shared the same view. you know its good when you look over at someone, big smile on both your faces, and you both start dancing even harder. thats kind of what made the night for me, and the girls were especially nice.

Well now that I am back to normal from the birthday shenanigans, I can post a proper review (read: the portions that i remember at this point :p).

Great to see a short guest-list lineup when we got there ~10:45!

Evil P played a decent opener, I should have chilled in the front room w/some Mossey beats, but it was getting rammed. The crowds seemed to be the only problem with the night (and the idiots who are associated with such large crowds), but that can only be a testament to the fabulous beats lawler threw down friday night. I think i was in front of the DJ booth dancing for at least 4 hours of lawler's set!

Great as always to see some TA's out on the prowl: Diginut, Stereoprincess, rabbitjoker, LKD, Cuzo, Callie5, Newr, The Highroller, E2EK1EL, Ryan Parks and everyone else who is slipping my mind at the moment.
