What? Lies I tell you, that wasn't DDTT, I don't know if it was you or not, but at one point I said to someone this sounds like Bad Boy Bill, far cry from the DDTT sound (how I see it). Not my cup of tea, I even told you that, so it surely wasn't DDTT. |

I think we need a formal way to analyze trance tracks. It's so difficult to determine whether a track is "DDTT" or not because we can't just evaluate the "DDTT-ness" of a song; we instead need to look at the individual qualities of the song... every track fits somewhere on the scales by which we judge the music... for example, consider the following DDTT scale, with 4 attributes, being used to evaluate some trance tracks...
Steve Lawler - Lost
DARKNESS: 8/10
DIRTYNESS: 9/10
TECHNESS: 8/10
TRIBALNESS: 7/10
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster
DARKNESS: 4/10
DIRTYNESS: 3/10
TECHNESS: 3/10
TRIBALNESS: 1/10
So as we can see, the former has a much higher average score than the latter. Now, we need to develop a decision-making algorithm by which we can calculate whether a track is DDTT or not. Primarily, its total score (out of 40) has to be a reasonable value... say 30/40 or so. This unfortunately, can allow other tracks to slip through that we perhaps wouldn't consider DDTT. Consider the following track:
Sasha - Rabbitweed
DARKNESS: 10/10
DIRTYNESS: 9/10
TECHNESS: 8/10
TRIBALNESS: 3/10
Such a track is quite dark and dirty, and has tech elements, but just lacks the tribalness that other DDTT tracks have. Despite its high scores in the other 3 categories, it just isn't DDTT. A dark, dirty, techno song is not DDTT if it lacks the tribal elements. A dirty tribal techno song isn't DDTT if it's happy and uplifting. Therefore, we should also eliminate songs which achieve particularly low scores in individual categories. Anything below 5/10 in a single category is no good.
Perhaps with some more input, we can improve this system, and add new attributes and classification. For example, if we added categories like funk, upliftingness, depth, proggyness, harmony, etc, then we would be able to determine if tracks belonged to other categories, like uplifting trance, funky house, gabba, etc. |

I think you mean UNI-TITTIE.
*actually, upon further review.....uni-tittie would mean the girl would only have one tit, therefore cutting the pleasure in half and making her a freak show that would even make Peter North go limp as an over cooked noodle in a sauna. |
