[LIST]1- Hello Aviram. First of all we would like to say it´s a big pleasure to make this interview with you and also to bring a phenomeno like you to our country. Please, try to explain us what you´re felling about your comming to Brazil and what are your expectatives about it. Obviously I am very happy to come over to Brazil, as it would be my first time in this beautiful and exotic country.I've heared that the trance scene in Brazil is very strong with many great parties happening,so I am sure that the rave that I will preform in, will be amazing and the party people would enjoy my music and set.
2- This year might be the best year in your career. You released ´´Running out of Time´´ by Phonokol Records wich is bangin all the countries around the world. We heard you´re making a huge success in Japan and also in some important countries in Europe. We wanna let you know that in Brazil the thing is not different: You´re considered the new revelation of the psy-trance scene. How do you feel about that?
As "Running Out Of Time"(the album), is finally out' I am very excited about it and it is certainly the pick of my career(at this point). I am currently working on my next album, which I am sure ,would be even stronger then this project, and I hope to reach further recognition and success with it. I am happy to hear that the people in Brazil likes my music.It is a similar reaction in all the other countries you mentioned..These are my intentions and this is my goal.I've worked very hard to reach it over the years
looking constantly to improve myself by learning professional sound work at the highest sound academy in Israel and by creating my special sound and direction in the music. Trance music is mainly instrumental and it is a good way to reach people
from all over the world as there is no language berrier and people gets attached to it with their emotions. The music is the language! I decided to use some lyrics and vocals in some of the tracks in my album and I took the music a step further. I am happy to see that it works and people from all over the world react to it the same way and enthusiasm and share common fealings.
3- How long do you produce and play Psychedelic ? Why did you begin working in this style of music ? Money or Passion ?
I started as a Dj and I play trance music 7 years ago.I began to create trance music about 3 years ago and fucused on psy-trance as this is the music I stands for and love for so many years. Passion Is my first reason of course to create this music , but I am happy that people loves and appreciate my music so I have the opportunity to make a living out of it also without needing to seek other jobs. It is great to do what you love and live out of it! Pleasure with business or business in plasure - call it whatever you like!
4- After Israel, Brazil is considered the best country for Psy parties and also for its good productors, wich are growing day by day learning with Israelian school. Tell us if you know a little bit of any Brazilian production and what you feel about their music. Do you know Wrecked Machines (Gabe) or Brain XL for example ? And do you know any new producer?
Unfortunatly, I was very busy lately, producing my own music so I didn't
have much time to listen properly to other people's music and I am not familiar with Brazilian trance music or creators at all.
I've heared about Wrecked Machine(Brain XL) from other people and heared
that he is good , but I didn't hear his music.It would be a good opportunity to hear some Brazilian trance music when I come over to Brazil.
5- What´s your favourite Psy Trance artist in the world ?

6- Some guys around here comments and consider you the ´´New Astrix´´. Do you know Astrix personally ? What´s your position in being called the ´´new Astrix´´ overhere ? - Even if we know you have your own qualities, but the sound is a little bit similar, the groove, builds up, synth, etc.
Yes. I know Astrix personally. It's a small country here and everybody knows everybody in this scene.
Obviously I consider myself as the genuine Melicia and not the "New Astrix". My hit record "Running Out Of Time" was created and produced over two & a half years ago!!! Unfortunately, It was not with a good mix as I've just started that time and I had much to learn, but the music was there (and also the power
and my sister's vocals). In general , israeli full on psy-trance is a style - a music janer and musical jargon that contains many similar motives that you could find in the music of all psy-trance artists around the globe. My music has its own qualities, different melodies, great vocals and lyrics created by me and my sister Odeliya with new sounds and rythms. A good artist is a one that takes the music created before him and improve it a step further! So did Astrix at the time by impoving and updating sounds(Deedrah- reload).
Astral Projection(Man With No Name), Oforia(A.P.-Life on Mars) and many other great artists. We do not create new type of music . We Improve it by Capture new ideas and sounds into it.You need to do it better to reach fame and recognition and than you are adding qualities to the music and the scene!
That is why Melicia is MELICIA!!!! I take Trance music to the next level by adding vocals and a lot of additional data!
7- What was the best party (rave or festival) that you played and why?
The Mini Boom festival in Portugal on th 8th of August of this year. A 2 days event that lasted 4 days eventually as the people simply didn't want to go away! 3000 people in a very unique atmosphere, in a magical place near a lake. A super psychedelic production with great decoration, professional sound system and amazing spirit and energy! Something to remember!!!
8- What artists would you like to produce together to?
At the moment I am happy with myself and I do not think about working with any other artist.
I am sure that I will collaborate with other artists in the future as it is an experience that can lead to interesting results but I do not want to plan it now. When it happens, it happens!
I am more into taking old classy tracks(sometime even forgoten)and remix it my way, improve it and create huge monster hits out of it. Recently I remixed a track of Power Source called Granada and Adrenalin Rush of Xerox and Psycraft- wait untill you hear it!!!
9- When you next album will be released ? This year already ?
My next album will be out sometime in 2004. My album "Running Out Of Time" is still very fresh and was just released about 2 months ago. I am currently very busy promoting this album and there is a lot of work around it.
10- Israel is considered the best country of Psy Trance tune. Actually Psy was born in Israel and it grew there. Why do you think some countries (like Israel, Portugal, Brazil, Sweeden) has a particulary taste for this kind of sound ? How long time ago did you meet Psy trance ? How it was for you ?
I first heared Psy-trance music about 10 years ago when my cousin returned from Thailand and brought with him an audio cassette with this music.From that moment I never stopped listen to it. Actually it is the only music I hear since I was stunt and electified from it. Psy Trance is music with dynamic sound, full power and energy, warm and full of emotions,colourful and international(no language ) expressive and fast that relates to people from every corner in the world who share the same fealings.A global tribe.!
11- How do you feel when you´re in a party and some other Dj play a tune made by you? Angry - because you would be suppose to play it - or happy - because someone else reckognized your tallent and used it to make its set better ?
If I'm just a guest in this party and I do not need to play right after,I would take it as a compliment. Obviously I would enjoy it and see it as an act of respect toward myself as an artist and my music and talent.However, if I need to play live or Dj set right after, I would be very unhappy and see it as
an unapropriate act of bad taste. It is a very annoying act as it can ruin my live set and only dj's who does not have any respect to the other people preforming in the party can do something like this thinking
about themselves only.
