We get upset because the standards that we adhere to in the West with regards to certain issues, specifically civil liberties, are much higher than in Morocco or any other Arab country, and thankfully so. I don't see why we shouldn't get upset at something that, with regards to these higher standards that we supposedely would all like to adhere to, is appalling. Having said that, yes, what happens in Third World countries might be more appalling, but that does not undermine the legitimacy of the point we're trying to make with regards to this incident. |

javoue par exemple que les policiers auraient du avancer tranquillement vers la foule, pour les intimider pis leur laisser le temps de sen aller...javoue que courir dans foule pis pousser cest pas la meilleure tactique
mais merde...quand ca suffit ca suffit...clair que les policiers ont recu des roches avant ca, pis des insultes a la tonne, pis ya des chars de parkés, du monde qui travaillent, du monde qui vivent, qui ont pas a subir ca...donc PIECEZ VOUS DE LA LES HIPPIES! |

| If you ever go to the police brutality protests in Montreal, it gets much worse than that. Never been myself but.... my bro went 4 years ago I think it was. Anyway, everyone got arrested held out in the freezing rain in March for 7 hours. He along with everyone got sick from that. He saw a 12 year old girl get cracked over the head with one of those sticks for trying to run away. She fell down unconcious and bleeding from her skull. The person who filmed it had his film taken and destroyed. The whole event is still in courts 4 years later, so far the cops are all getting off free. I hate the police, plain and simple. |
