I was there at the mainstage. Trust me, all the sets were freakin' spectacular last night :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Myyyyy God! Next year is sure to kick it all down once again.

oakenfold playing new tunes...
why :conf:

*sigh*

if the adagio he spun cut back into the WHOLE original melody from Barber's Adagio then its the DJ Danjo & Rob Styles Remix and not the original.

Im 99.9% positive that it was the original. I don't like the Danjo & Styles mix, so I would've realized if he played it.

ok :)
Konijn
it was the original mix -- and although tiesto dropped his mix of "force of gravity" the vocal portion had been slightly re-edited (all other elements of the remix were the same)

be patient people -- full PvD and Tiesto tracklists for Ultra are forthcoming.

btw -- Tiesto's set was very dissapointing. oakenfold was subpar as usual. armin was also weak. i caught the end of ferry's set but he seemed to be on point, ending with walhalla -- junkie was super cool as always and pvd dropped a solid set.

sorry to interfere in the conversation... but i found the amphiteatre stage pretty boring, and too damn cheesy.

Same tracks, over and over again... the same sound in every one who played there (was as if the decks were stuck with the same strings and drum rolls).

I had to leave.

Anyway... although i'm a tranceaddict as well, gotta tell you that the Carl Cox and Friends Arena was awesome... the people... the music... the nitro... although while Christian Smith was playing, the sound popped the hell out, and everybody left for about 20 minutes. The best of the night, was listening to Wink leaving the decks to CArl Cox with a 10 to 15 minute back to back with some strange loops of "Higher State..." with some other stuff X:eyes: .

I agree with one of the guys that was in the mainstage. Armin made that floor move, and so did Lee Burridge.

Anybody went to the Carry Out????? That was the worst part of my day. Sasha fooled everybody, man!! He pulled out his Mac, connected it to a mixer, and started playing with the faders, and doing as if he was playing something.. I had to leave. I wanted to stay and see Cattaneo and Zabiela play, but i was too f***in tired and disappointed.

Well, too much for today. Gotta continue resting. Hope you guys don't feel touched about what i said. Laterssssssssss!!!!

it was prolly the mark norman remix which is the one featured on the music video..tiesto's set looks pretty weak tho, as does oakenfold's.

It wasn't the Mark Norman remix. It was a brand new remix.

I'm telling you he did some turntablism. When the melody to his version usually hits he cut it out and played the original Barber's Adagio For Strings. Then you can here him scratch his version back in. It wan't Danjo and Styles remix, it wasn't the Phynn remix, it wasn't the Fred Baker remix. It was his own little turntable trick.

Armin van Buuren

1. Synergy - Hello Strings (Flash Brothers Remix)
2. Motorcycle - Around You
3. Purple Haze - Adrenaline
4. ID (techno)
5. ID (familiar trance song!)
6. Armin van Buuren - Communication (Part 3)
7. ID
8. ID
9. ID

*Manny Romero - Compadre (SvD Remix) <<< this was either track 7 or 8 I can't remember when it was dropped but I know it was after Communication.

Paul van Dyk played a GREAT set, and surprisingly Oakenfold made me dance like crazy! Tiesto wasn't that entertaining this year which was disapointing. Too bad I left right before he played "Adagio For Strings" but I heard him drop that last year so no biggie. Whatever tune came right before "Nothing But You" in PvD's set was the BEST tune of the entire show.

I have come to a conclusion. There has been an "unknown" remix of Tiesto - Ur being played and I am ALMOST positive it is a Junkie XL Remix mainly because Junkie XL played it during his set and his set was 90% composed of his originals and remixes, so I can only guess that he was behind this remix, and it has his guitars in it too so I'd say it's the best bet ;)
