Wow! I'm actually the first! Well, there wasn't a huge TA turnout and those who were there, I'm sure are STILL there. *cough*Floorwhore*cough* haha!
Anyway, I just got in from this crazy night. It almost didn't happen cuz my mom went to the hospital earlier today but she actually insisted I go out cuz she was fine...haha!
Kelly (dance2dabeat) and I got there around 1:30. Place wasn't packed but there were more people there than we expected at that time. No line which was awesome! Get in and no one knows who's spinnin but he was awesome! (Please someone tell me who it was!) The second guy (again, don't know names) was even better! The guy with the black hat is how I know him...haha. He was spinnin some sick sh*t! He spun a remix of a Billy Idol song which was funny...but it was good. Sorry I suck with song names! Tiefschwarz comes on about 4. Right on time. This guy was up and down. As Kelly said earlier to me tonight, he would start up with a huge build and we'd all start dancin so crazy then he'd just stop and play something more mellow. It's hard to explain. But anyway, I thought I was DONE around 5:30 then right at 6 he dropped some bangin tracks and we couldn't help but giver right to the end! Oh man it was awesome!
Awesome to meet NRG2nfinit (sp?) (Karim?)...anyway, sorry I didnt say bye to you! We just got our coats and bailed around 7. Sorry, dude. It was also cool to hang out 5hiftn6ears. Steve, you crack me up! What the hell was up with the hot dog stand and cologne smell there last night! hahaha! Your hilarious! That would be my only complaint about the night. Well, almost. The smoking in there was disgusting and it was bloody hot! There was tons of room to dance, not packed by any means but it was sooo hot! Other than that, I had a wikked time!
Thanks Jeff for the g/l again! And seriouly, I'm lovin ur new dance moves! Your awesome, Jeff! Wikked to see you! It's been tooo long!
Anyway, I'll leave the real reviews to the people who know how to actually write one! I had fun! Thanks for driving, Kelly! I love you! Can't wait to see ur pics! Steve, I'm sorry I'm gonna miss your birthday party next weekend! Stupid wisdoms! Party hard for me!

LOL vicky.. i just got home now.. i stayed till boa closed apparently :eek: .. yeah i didnt catch you guys leave.. i was all over the place and then you guys were gone :( !.. it was great to meet you though, kelly and steve. Jeff its always good to see you again its been a while.. what happend? where di dyou go?.. lol It was also nice to finally meet jointT.. i dont know where you went either.. ahh well it was a blast!
The dj before tiefschwarz was doing pretty good.. i was shocked to find that he was dropping tiefschwarz tracks though right before the headliner lol. Tiefschwarz was a big tease... he gave us some awesome driving electro.. then left us with some mellow electro.. back and forth.. i think this is what you and kelly meant vicky. Anyways it was still kick ass.

but soo many blasting driving electro toons iwas shocked :D
kenny played a good set as well.. he was driving electro at teh beginnig but hten he went into straight tribal prog.. which ended of the night nicely!

Tiefschwarz is 2 people. Brothers Alexander and Sebastian Schwarz. Prolly why the DJ "before Tiefschwarz" was dropping Tiefschwarz tracks.
I wasn't there though, but that's my guess.

Well, I could start this review like all the other ones i write for Boa saying how it was a night filled with dirty, sleazy, sexy beats.....but i'm sure everyones sick of hearing that every weekend.....so all i'm gonna say is that every DJ that grabbed control of the decks PUMPED it!!! Started the night off getting there around 2:15 and walked into a fairly decent sized crowd for being so early. Quickly met up with Kelly and Ang (both looking stunning as usual) and slowly started getting into the set that buddy in the black hat was spinning...lol...i wish i knew who that was, i talked to him for about a half hour after he was done and still didn't come out with a name...lol. Remix of white wedding-billy idol was sick!!! Tiefschwarz came on, and to be honest i really didn't know what to expect, i've heard tonnes of his productions but never heard him DJ.....the guy didn't dissapoint!!! Yeah, i'll agree with most people how he was really choppy with some of the mixes, going from kick ya in the ass techy tribal to slowing it right down.....but it was evident after he dropped Higher State of Conciousness (which sounded sick on that system) that buddy put his gloves on and started to go to work. For the next hour or so everyone was gettin some serious hard beats rammed down there throats....and when he dropped that one picotto track....holy crap Kelly, i've never seen someone go that hard before....wicked!
About the crowd.....besides the 2 dudes behind us that smelt like they set up a hot dog stand (mmmmm....onions and cologne), to the crazy blonde haired chick that was yelling obsenities at the DJ's ( which by the way...THANKS ALOT Ang and Kel for sitting and laughing as she backed me into a corner to talk to me), to the she male dancing machine and the guy with the mullet/mohawk/rats tail hairdo that was doing ballet......for the most part it was normal.....lol.
Met up with joinT, infinity high, nrg2nft sp?, Maxim (not a TA but should be) and with just a handful of TA's....we held the floor down pretty respectfully.
Jeff.....week in and week out we've been owning that place and the nights just keep getting better. Kelly....second time partying with ya and had a blast just like the first, can't say enough nice things about you (hope you like the discs)! Ang....first time really partying hard with ya and hope it's not the last and living in Brantford is no excuse for not coming out, so call me anytime for a ride! Wicked crew.
So....if noones asleep yet from reading this i hope everyone comes out for C&C next weekend.....i can't wait.

Last night Basti was spinning. ;)
about the 2 other guys who played before him according to BOA they would have been:
Ben Murko (2:15 - 4:00)
Ian Guthrie (12:30 - 2:15)
(and i wasn't even there)

I totally agree with you 100%. It'll never happen again..LOL! And thanks for identifying those other guys for us! They were wikked! I asked so many people who they were and no one knew! So thanks again.

First off I have to apoligize to DJ Eklipse for not going to Unity last nite.I didn't go because I had 2 friends who've never been to BOA & wanted to hear some Tech-House & Ian Guthrie.
ANyway we got there a tad early around 12:30 & chilled downstairs for a while.We then went upstairs when Ian was spinning...From that point on , the WHOLE nite was amazing:crazy: ...Best I've heard in a looooong time @ BOA and my pals we're VERY impressed...the DJs dropped some really wikid trax & that I've never heard before:D ...So from my pal...BOA gets 2 HUGE thumbs up..
As usual the staff/security we're THE best...apparently someone slipped on the stairs & so they had to close the downstairs for like 20 minutes.I hope that they weren't seriously hurt:nervous:
ONe thing that BOA should look into getting is a box of ear plugs.The heavy bass was getting to one of my friends & NO ear plugs we're available.One bouncer insisted that you "won't get any ringing in your ears" after you leave....yeah....ok:rolleyes: So we ended up leaving around 5am anyway...
I have to thank Floorwhore for the guestlist and can't wait for the BLA party April 29th:) |

well today I am so fuggin' sick!!! I have a cold...my legs and tummy hurt....and yeah I feel aweful!!! (maybe I am getting too old to hit T.O. 2 times in one weekend??!!?? haha)
The night was overall really good.....Ang pretty much said all I wanted to say. Ang...thanks so much for being there for this...on the drive home all I could think about was how lucky I was to have such a sweet girl like you in my life. The talks we always have always make me realise how good of a friend you really are to me...and I love you to death. Jeffy boy was sure a fool for letting us both go.........;)
Jeff....what can I say about u....OMG!!!!!!! You are the BEST dancer that I have ever met...ever dated.......EVER EVERYTHING!!!! You bring the best vibe that I have ever felt in my life!! I know I have been giving you a hard time lately about things but I want you to know that it is only because I love you so much....always have..always will. I hope you know this. I have been blessed to have a guy like you come into my life. Thanks again for another memerable night :)
Steve...you remind me of this teddy bear....that I just wanna hug and sqeeze to death!!! You honestly make me laugh so hard...and the MONOPOLY money story is facking CLASSIC!!!!!! HA! HA! HA! You are one of the nicest guys I have met. I'm sorry I wasn't smiling enough for ya....it's just the way I can get then the music is being a complete TEASE for me or I'm in my Zone. Highlight of the night.......when dude dropped that SICKKKKKKKKK track from Picotto.....hardest..most craziest moment of the night...I just about died after that b/c of the 3 red bulls sitting in my tummy! Ouchie!! Oh god and the heat.....OMG......what the hell was up with that??????? I sweated more for this night than I did for Armin!!!! How the hell is this possible...I will never understand!

whew.. dark dark evil dark breaky techy stuff.. Kept the dancefloor moving all night - Ben Murko held it down HARD his whole set.. Tief came on and kept up the hardness for about an hour, then went a little easy on us :crazy:
Nice to see Jeff and Steve again... front row centre as usual :D

man by 8am I was done.. and I mean done... oldschool420 and I beat it just after 8.. only to get pulled over by a cop in the 10 minute drive back to his place.. because the registration for his car is in flux.
slept for 8 hours straight once I got home.... good times.. |
