Anyone else intrigued by these shows? Seeing as The Sopranos is gone for who knows how much longer, I see these as decent alternates.

Never got into em...they seemed boring but I never really watched em, I just didn't think they looked very good  but I like the Sopranos, probably one of my favorite shows (though I think the last two seasons were kinda lacking). |

Oh man, Sopranos is the , dude. That's the only reason I'm looking at Deadwood and Carnevale, since it's on hiatus. Otherwise, it's Sopranos all the way. JayD has a huge Sopranos thread here somewhere.

| Carnivale is awesome... last night was the last episode for 9 months, and that's if they even decide to continue the show. :( It's really dark and suspenseful. Great casting, and a really original premise IMO. Also I like historical shows and this is set in the 30's. |

Last night's episode...you KNOW the reverend is gonna come back...Sophie in that house with her mom..."This is your house." THAT was creepy as ...I loved it. |

hell yeah! with all these tv show threads today , i was contemplating starting one about this. They just started the series where i'm at, up to episode 2, and already i lub it, :D :D |

Checked out both Deadwood (done season 1 and 2) and Carnivale (finished season 1 last week).
Both of them blow any other TV show out of the water. Lost or 24 don't even hold a candle to either of them, even though I like those 2 shows as well.
Right now I'm watching Season 1 of The Wire...another HBO great. I gotta say, as entertaining as Sopranos was/is, these 3 shows are much much better. |
