| probably that they've been spinning for years which kinda causes this power of suggestion.... when i went to see pvd the first time he spun central park, it really honestly seemed to me, that even though his mixing was on, because it was him, and because there was this huge "scenester" feeling among the crowd, the man couldve spun anything he wanted, and because his name was pvd the crowd wouldnt give a , they'd be jumping up and down... and up... and down... it all felt really fake, like you were "supposed" to enjoy it... the man mixed great, but that whole thing when people say tap into you and take you on a journey, certainly didnt happen with me, i ended up in pain from standing in one spot for so many god damn hours... im not new to this, ive been into this for about 10 years, and i was a fan of pvd for a few years as well, theres no "hater" mentality here... but ne how my point is i believe at a certain point with being a massive dj, it almost doesnt matter what u do, as long as u get up there... i mean come on, the mans no.3 and i checked a tracklist of a new set posted on this site, and the mans still spinning for an angel and time of our lives, i loved those tracks, but i thought a big part of djing was going out of your way to find new tracks.... and yet people still lose their minds to this guy, there has to be a huge power of suggestion thing going on here (for lack of a better term) i know you guys got your opinions, and id like to hear them, just please dont yell at me, i didnt mean to piss on anyone |

100% agree, though usually thats from the people who like trance but arent REALLY into it, ur normal clubbers who rock up and jsut want a good night, without knowing too much about the DJ, other then his name is Tiesto and he is #1 or PVD and he is #2, u get the idea :) |

Funnily, I really dont rate many of the bigger name djs, I find the up n comings far more entertaining.
carl cox however deserves all the credit he gets :D |

| Those DJs you're talking about have done a lot more than any of us ever will to push dance music around the world. No they're not great technical mixers except for Carl Cox. |

| once i again i agree, theyve done alot to push dance music, but that type revolutionary ideals they put forth, was how long ago? and i agree with that other guy, up and comings are definitelly more entertaining... but yea i mean led zepellin was revolutionary... but robert plant and whoevers left of that band, wat they're doing now sucks, and im not gonna kiss their ass for wat they do presently because wat they did in the past was so great |
