Anyone else like this film?
Some truly harrowing scenes in the opening hour, but then the ending goes typical Hollywood style :( , all gung-ho.
But it still needs to be seen. Some of the ethnic cleansing scenes are truly hard to watch. |

Is this the movie with Bruce Willis that came out two or so years ago?
I never saw it, but I don't remember hearing anything about it after it came out, which led me to believe it wasn't very good :conf: But maybe I'll look at the trailer or something. |

sorta, its the movie where the US pretends they sent Bruce Willis to stop ethnic cleansing in Africa, when in fact no one did much of anything at all.

You're an idiot and obviously paid no attention to the movie at all.
They didn't send him to stop ethnic cleansing. They sent a SEAL team to go and retrieve an important person and two others. That was their mission.
He diverted from his mission and tried to help a group of people that were going to be killed. Only after the doctor insisted he bring them along. His intentions even when he brought them along was to drop them at the HLZ and just bring the doctor. It was a ploy to get her to come along because she wouldn't leave the people she was treating behind.
Go sell stupid some place else. |

| As far as tactical innacuracies in the movie there were a grip. Not keying the mic on the SATCOM when hes trying to talk to the ship? Talking so fast that they words wouldn't unscramble fast enough. Having his big shiny dome pop out without any sort of cover for a good portion of the movie. I know SEALs are known for not wearing Kevlars but they atleast have enough common sense to wear a cover especially one to cover a shiny ass bald head. How they were getting perfect comms in the middle of a jungle on TACSATs that you need clearance for. |
