| It works for me. Me and my friends should be getting there sometime between 9-10 and I know I'll be scoping out the trance room first. But just to better our chances meeting, I'll tell you what I'm gonna wear. I'll be wearing a yellow t-shirt with the words "Sideout" on it, black and white adidas visor, tan cargo pants, and kandy necklaces. Just let me know you're from TA and it's all gravy baby. Ahhhh...ROBERT NICKSON! *Psyched* :eyespop: |

. I hope this schedule takes Daylight Savings into account. I don't want someone to get screwed on their set time if the club really closes at 4am. |

Robert Nickson totally surprised me tonight.
In a good way.
I really didn't know what to expect, other than the fact that I know his songs are very melodic. The set he spun tonight was no different!
Pros:
Meeting up with Zharen -- very easy to spot with his bright yellow shirt. Nice meeting you dude and hope to see you around at future shows. (I can't believe you didn't recognize Kallocain right away :D)
The music!!!
Track IDs:
Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
Primer - Everlast (Original Mix)
Armin van Buuren - Shivers (no vocals)
Robert Nickson - Spiral (Original?)
Endre - Kallocain (Robert Nickson Mix)
I'd love to know the two songs immediately after Spiral, if any of you were there and can ID them.
Cheap drinks! $3 for a water, $4 for a Redbull. :D
Sonorous and Robert Nickson, got 2 weak pics from my camera phone but they work. Sonorous in yellow, Nickson in black.

Cons:
The crowd -- much of the crowd did not seem all that into the music or the DJs. Sure, people were dancing and having a good time, but most were doing their own thing (or sitting on the floor staring at spinning glowsticks and munching on candy ringpops). Only a few people close to the DJ booth (like me) were really with the DJs, and it seemed that VERY few people knew the songs Nickson was spinning :conf:. It sucked being one of (seemingly) very few people to recognize songs as he mixed them in. But whatever -- I danced, I had a blast. :eyespop:
Robert Nickson's "Spirit Fingers" (lol)... He likes to wiggle his fingers above his head during the airy buildups in the songs he's playing. :D
The Pros outweigh the Cons. Overall a really fun night (different -- but fun :tongue2 ). |

| It was a good night very fun. Very tired from a lot of dancing now but it was a good night showed up while Tom was spinning his set Robert and Sonourous killed it. |

really excellent night, i was the tall guy w/ the bald head haha. there was another tall asian dude whose dance repetoire consisted only of jumping really high and waving both his arms with no rhythm whatsoever (but he had fun! :)) and some generic white dude in plaid...theyre both TAs too and right next to me usuaully
the venue was pretty good, seemed kinda dangerous (like collapsing.) sonorous didnt play a typical "skills" set but was very smooth, and he was very underrated imo. he varied his set a lot, which was great. and of course, nickson played a pretty melodic mix, with his obligatory "kallocain" ending. I was even pretty impressed with tom slik's sf cybertrance set, even though ishkur may argue that the genre doesnt exist at all.
in the end, nickson threw three vinyls in the crowd...my boy kalen snatched one outta thin air, and gave it to my other buddy since he is a DJ (it was m.i.k.e's "massive motion"). he proceeded to get it signed, with robert nicksons personal blue sharpie too since we didnt have one (and all 10m people i asked for one didnt have one either) we have pics that ill post first thing when i get back to davis :)
some music that i remember is:
sonorus:
weird no one on earth remix/mashup
some remix of protonic (not ronski)
second sun
and yeah, the front 15-20 people were very into it (which had to have a few TAs) while the rest were more on their own.
sorry for the lack of coherence, its 5am. amazing night though, 10/10 :)

Ahh, the one I had my hand on. I let go and let him have it and he thanked me for not fighting over it (I'm not a DJ -- I'm glad someone who could make good use of it ended up with it :) )
I'm with you on the 10/10 score on the night's music. A pleasant surprise by both Sonorous and Nickson. |

| I went and congradulated Nickson on his set and he gave me Cern Go Fly. I was the tall white dude in the black pirate shirt. I saw a lot of you guys. Mainly the tall asian dude and a few other people. Was upfront most of the night and really really enjoyed the evening. |
