"particularly" - any other reasons?

pfft dude I got rejected from every school I applied to. I got lucky and some how made it in to where I am now, fooling them by saying I was going to go to the sister school for a year then transfer to the big campus. :stongue:

where do you go?

Listen.. I work in the NYU Law School admissions office... not the same thing, but close enough. We turn away 8-9 out of every 10 applications. But 6-7 out of every 10 applications are students we would love to accept. These people are bright, with amazing grades and 160+ LSAT's, and with some wonderful essays that I've read... When you apply to a competitive school, probably 70% of the people who apply would be able to succeed and do well... and half the people we turn down could do better than half the people we accept. See what I mean? College is not the end. Those corny things everyone says ARE TRUE: do your best, and no matter where you are, it will pay off. Life really *does* work that way. Please don't take it personally. Just love where you are and make the most of what you have... :) I promise it will all work out.

You have nothing to worry man, I been on the loop end and I have yet to start college

I'm currently at The University of Texas at Arlington, our Aerospace Engineering program is actually becoming better than the one in Austin. We have less students and more hands on stuff. Not to mention we were recognized by NASA for helping them piece together the problems of the space shuttle columbia. So don't feel like a total loss bro, I was rejected from every school and graduated at the bottom of my class. Something I'm not proud of, but who the hell cares what you did in high school. Anyone could get a degree if they just sat next to the smart kid :haha:

One of the toughest things an admissions office does is turn down perfectly good candidates. It's not that there is anything wrong with you; you have the grades, the course selection/workload, etc. It's just that in today's society the competition is crazy.

Awww! Hang in there babe :) Things have a way of working themselves out sometimes, if you really want to get in do all you can to do so :)

somehow i still manage to be an engineer :haha: . Admissions are all bs anyway. Its all up to their opinions, your scores dont mean much cause they know there are all thoes stupid sat programs that everyone uses.

Update:

I got into George Washington University today and am reeeeaaaallllyyyy happy about that. It's a school I'd love to go to.
I was also waitlisted at Johns Hopkins which came as a total surprise to me as I thought they were just going to reject me altogether. I am going to work hard at getting myself in but am sooo content right now with GWU.

Thanks everyone for your support.:D :D :D :D :D :D
