Well all my college acceptances/rejections are coming in. So far I've been rejected from Georgetown (was my top choice) and William and Mary. I was accepted at American and Goucher both of which were my safety schools. I'm still waiting on Johns Hopkins, Tufts and George Washington but I really feel like if I don't go to one of my top schools I'll be screwed later in life. I already know that I want to go to law school after college and I know that law schools only really look at your LSAT score and your GPA and that the prestige of your undergrad school doesn't really matter at all, but I'm just so worried....:(

if you don't go to one of your top choices, you can always try to transfer there

don't worry...it's not the end of the world

yeah...my sister went to james madison univ (which is a good school but not AMAZING) and now she goes to george washington law, which is in the first tier for law schools...just do well in college and get a good GPA and LSAT score and you will be straight.

yes i'm quite excited about the possibility of going there. if i get in and decide to go you'll have to fill me in on the important details.

It's not the end of the world. There's always graduate school too, if you decide to do that.

I got into one of my top choices, and ended up regretting going there. I should have went to Maryland in retrospect, particularly since it would have been free. I wouldn't worry so much about it, your future is quite secure particularly since you're intent on going to grad school right afterwards. If you go to your safety school, you can just compensate by doing better in your class.

I applied to 9 schools, and ended up at my original 9th choice, and it's been just dandy. I got into all the schools I applied to and everything, but due to costs, etc., some of the higher-hope schools just weren't gonna work for me. But all in all, I can't say it was a bad decision, because I'm pretty happy where I ended up. And besides, American is still a very good school with national name-recognition, and will look great on a future resume.

American is a really good school isn't it. the ones u got rejected from are VERY competitive, just try to transfer next year. it's been done before. meanwhile during ur freshman year just MAKE SURE to kick ass in ur classes and APPLY EARLY!!!!!!! sometimes in EARLY ADMISSIONS u mite get a chance than those who apply later.

College is simply what you make of it. Good schools are nice but not getting into one won't necessarily limit what you can do if you are determined.

pfft dude I got rejected from every school I applied to. I got lucky and some how made it in to where I am now, fooling them by saying I was going to go to the sister school for a year then transfer to the big campus. :stongue:
